Warung Makan Sederhana "Bu Dayu" — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

Beware. Something is off. They give you menu without prices. You will only get prices if you ask for a “different” menu with prices. I suspect they have another menu with prices just for locals. I was asking questions about meals I saw that people shared here in Google reviews and the lady struggled to tell me immediately. She would nervously try to find the dish and changed names of them. As I am checking online a dish she told me about to verify if she’s even telling the truth, she suddenly walks away. As we were waiting, my husband showed me negative reviews but we thought we’d stay to see. However, they were in line with our experience.

We then looked at positive reviews and they don’t look genuine. We left. The menu and pricing is confusing and the lady’s behaviour is confusing too. I have never had this happen. We went to a different warung this morning and we loved it. You can even check on my profile, I left them a 5* review when I received my food because people and food were fantastic. I am sad because the food looks yummy and we try to support small, local businesses but not scammers. Please...

If you would like to eat Indonesian food at low cost, this is the best place for it. The attached pic was what I had by 35k RP. The taste might equal to the cost, but not bad and good enough to enjoy the caltural food. The lady who served was friendly. Smile was nice👍
