海底捞火锅 Haidilao Hot Pot @Mall Taman Anggrek — Restaurant in Jakarta

Visited in September 2021 (PPKM Level 3 in Jakarta). PRO-TIP at the bottom!

This is the first time I tried Haidilao and it leaves me the best impression. The whole experience makes me want to come again, eventhough IT IS VERY PRICEY (for sure!).

Shout out to Mba Susi, the main server on my table. Also shout out to the restaurant greeter (whom I didnt get the name) on Sept 7 at 7PM. The greeter was super niceeeee! Catching me from afar and so welcoming. Asked for the menu to check on first and she explained many things!

Mba Susi was super duper nice, very helpful and very attentive. I got exactly the same services like I had at Oku (Kempinski Hotel: 5-star hotel). She explained how long we needed to wait for each meal, helped to scoop all the oil in the soup, and a lot of other things she did for us.

I need to talk about the services first because it was just so amazing!

Ok, now lets move on to the food. Food looked great and fresh. Taste was great with the sauces. I tried without the sauce, it wasnt very pleasant, I guess that is why they sell the sauce. You need to pay 40k per person for access to all sauces they have, this includes dessert (fruits, fruits soup, etc). 25k for free flow tea and free drink for mineral water only. You can pick if you want to take the sauces yourself or ask the servers. They offer you free ice cream of your choice (flavor options) in the beginning. You can ask for one for each flavor too!

Cleanliness is 5 out 5! They clean the seats right before you sit. They have free clean anti-bacterial tissues for you to clean the table. They have dedicated hand sanitizer on each table. They have a ziplock plastic for us to store our masks. They even offered HAIR TIE!!!!! So you can eat peacefully without worrying your long hair to enjoy the soup together with you. Very carefully thought for every single thing!

I have some pro-tips I can share with you this time: Every single thing you have there, you pay for it. Remember this is not all-you-can-eat, so you can ask to for takeaway when you cant finish, including the fruits and snacks in the sauce bar.

Get the 4-slice pot to ge the cheaper price of soup. You can get 1 or 2 or 3 or also 4 variants of soup for the 4-slice pot and get cheaper price each. Because you can refill the soup anyway.

Access to sauce bar is billed per person. But you cant trick them with one person going to the sauce bar and take for other people and hope to get billed for one when the ones who enjoy it is more than one person. You better be ready to pay 40k++ for however many people who touch the sauce on the table. Otherwise, just dont do the sauce bar at all.

FYI. We paid over 450k for two people (including the 80k++ sauces), so without the sauces might cost 300ish which I think so worth it for 300ish. 450k probably a bit pricey with the sauces.

All in all, I would give 10 stars for overall experience I had. Because I went to many restaurants that might have similar rate but poor or just ordinary services. This one is super special, super...

No lie, this is the most amazing restaurant experience you can get in Jakarta. The hospitality of all the staffs in this restaurant is totally wonderful! They will serve you from entering the restaurant, preparing your food and up to your way exit from the restaurant with a very good gesture and manner. The service is absolutely fantastic! You won't need to call any of them because they will come to you right before you need to call them. If you are having birthday and come to this place, the staffs will happily sing a birthday song to you with cheer!

Also, try to order a lamian here and you'll watch a wonderful performance by the staff who will dance while preparing a totally fresh lamian noodle to your table.

Enough for the hospitality and service, there are more amazing things I can tell you but It'll be a spoiler so you have to come here and experience it by yourself.

Next up, about the food. The hotpot menu are all amazing, they have a big selection of meats and veggies to be served. You can also choose different hotpot soup which all of them are delicious. Please note that there are some pork menu in it but there are also many halal choices here. And when you can't make up your mind for your order, the staffs will come and give their recommendations to you. And when the menu arrived, they will ask you whether you want to have some alteration or modification to it and they will serve it precisely as how you wanted it. So it can be said that, while having amazing selection of menu, you can have all of them served as how you wanted it to be.

For my final conclusion let's talk about price-performance stuffs. Well the price is a bit higher than average hotpot/all you can eat resto in Jakarta, but not that much higher. Combined with all the amazing services, I can say that the price is so much totally worth for you. And did I forget to mention that there is no time limit here? You can stay and enjoy the food here as long as you want!

I thought i was the only one who got hungry late at night. It appeared that many people could get hungry too late at night, as when i stepped into the restaurant, it was so crowded. The restaurant opens till 4 am. It's an extra mile for the management to open till that late. Respect to the owner and team for this extra effort. The service of this restaurant is overwhelming too. The waiter greets is from the moment we entered the front door of the restaurant and brings us with smile to the table available. The waiters are all fast response to the customers' needs, even when they are currently serving other customers they will tell us that they are going to be back soon to us as they are still taking care of other customers. And they are really back at us within seconds. I give two thumbs up for the great service. They serve us passionately. The quality of the service is the best so far I encounter from all the restaurants I have visited. Remember it is late at night and the waiters still have all the energy at 100%. One example, there was a group of customers who celebrated birthday party on that night, the staff even also help to celebrate the party by singing a happy birthday song with very high energy. Moving on to food, this is also high quality, from the veggies until all the meats. Best!!! The ambience of the restaurant is great. There are tables for customers who want to celebrate birthday, engagement or even just want to dine with family. Each table has decoration topic. Also you get free ice cream after dine in and also you could print any one of photos from your smartphone and it is FREE.
