Im gonna give the review fair & square, lets start with the food & atmosphere first : Remboelan always offering great atmosphere & food selection of food, my 5 stars rating for the food only it's have to be their Nasi Bakul 👍🏻 It's so flavourful n fragrant, and beautifully assemble
BUT, THE SERVICE FLOW IS AN ABSOLUTE TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS!
I have never had a bad experience with others Remboelan Store before! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!
Yesterday, i was invited to colleagues reunion because our German friend is longing for Indonesian food for years, so we wanna celebrate her homecoming there. The reservation is for 20pax++, i was the 3rd person that arrive earlier and we decide to order first, we order Nasi Bakul Jeruk Teri
Soon after, our friends start to came and the waiter took a note on our order. I've waited but my Nasi Bakul hasnt been out yet, eventho not long after that it came only to be a disaster.
Turned out, my other friends also order the same menu as me. After we matched the order, the Nasi Bakul that served to me aint supposed to be mine 🙃 the waiter didnt put my food on the system, eventho we both did dual check beforehand! My friend was pissed & she didnt wanna order anymore
AND THE WORST THING IS, THERE IS NO A SINGLE ONE A PROPER APOLOGIZE FROM THEM!
Also, one of my friend need a straw for his drink. It took so long about 10min, and when my friend asked the staff, "wheres the straw?" 🙃 The staff only smile jokingly "cengengesan". OFC! My friend is mad, it's a pure insult
C'mon Remboelan PLS DO BETTER, y'all not some cheap ass restaurant right?! Why not training the staff properly?? Anw, THX FOR...
Read moreLovely Indonesian cuisine, good for family and group.
Very broad range of Indonesian cuisine. They offer dishes almost from every part of Indonesia. "Empal Gentong" Cirebon, "Soto Betawi" Jakarta, "Woku Style" Manado, and many more. They also offer common Indonesian dish like "Nasi Kuning", "Nasi Goreng", and "Nasi Bakar". You can also have Indonesian traditional snack and side dish.
I've went there couple times. They are often full booked. This time I will review some dishes (see photo).
One of my favorite is "Nasi Bakar". They have various "Nasi Bakar". It always have the best herb scent and smoky banana leaf. So aromatic and bring up your appetite. The filling is satisfying, and the taste is delicious. This time I tried "Nasi Bakar Ayam Asap". It is good, but can't compared to "Nasi Bakar Roa".
My favorite side dish is "Perkedel Jagung". Nice crunchy sweet salty corn batter. The tasted is leveled up with its "Sambal Roa".
"Nasi Goreng Kambing" is good. It doesn't have strong lamb aroma. It has more spice aroma on it.
"Cumi Mangga" is so-so. Fried squid with batter, with sweet sauce, and young mango. Sweet and refreshing. It is too sweet for me though.
"Pindang Jawa" is good. Fried fish with spice blend soup. Tangy, sweet, and aromatic.
"Iga Bakar Kemiri" is good. Although I didn't taste any smokyness. It is like a fried ribs with sauce. The sauce is sweet and slightly savory, with strong candlenut taste...
Read moreCame here for family dinner on weekday. Place was packed, but we managed to get a table. We ordered Sate Sapi Ungaran, Sate Ayam Sambal Matah Uluwatu, Gurame Bunga Kecombrang, Ayam Kuning Sambel Mbe Nusa Dua, Tahu Isi Udang Lembang, Perkedel Jagung Sambal Roa Gorontalo, Nasi Bakul Telor Asin Krakatau, Nasi Bakul Ayam Asap Klungkungan, Tumis Bunga Pepaya Kecombrang, and Teh Poci. Actually the food is good and nice presentation. But some of the food served cold already. And maybe because it was full house and so many guests and orders, the kitchen not really pay attention to the doneness of the food. The head of Gurame Bunga Kecombrang that we ordered was still undercooked. When we dig in it looked raw and still pink color. And also their Tumis Bunga Pepaya had way too much Turmeric Leaves (Daun Kunyit) inside that was very hard to chew, as the leaves were so big cut and the texture itself was chewy. The portion of the turmeric leaves was more than the Bunga Pepaya itself while the menu was called Tumis Bunga Pepaya? But it looked like Tumis Daun Kunyit instead? And they also put in together the leave that was already rotten (yellow color and had black spots) without doing the selection of the proper leaves to be cooked inside the dish. This is just an input and I hope the kitchen can improve the above matters. The ambience of the resto is nice and service was okay. Staffs...
