If I craving for grilled meat AUCE, I usually choose between two places : Gyukaku vs Kintan Buffet. They both are the most worth AUCE for price compared to the quality, Gyukaku is still better in many aspect. But for me, both restaurant is worth to try because it is good in different way.
Kintan Buffet has AUCE bar. I like it because if I come in crowded time, I can fill my stomach a little bit before goes to beef. But sometimes the side dishes is already cold. The drinks bar has more option compared to Gyukaku, good for some people, but I don't really like sweet drinks.
Style of meat is shabu style, so it's thin and long. We must be careful for not over-burn the beef, since it is so thin and have many fats, so can get burned easily. There is also lamb option which is good also, and the chicken one. Taste of meat is superb. People usually don't eat AUCE because the beef quality is poor compared to the normal restaurant. But this restaurant is different. It has good quality of meat.
Service quite fast but can mistaken on numbers when it is crowded.
Regular buffet cost you around 200k after tax. Usually there is promo on lunch so it's cheaper (175k I believe) Overall good dining experience and really...
Read morethe best yakiniku in town so far
Went with the Kintan Course. A total of 18 items for us to choose. Well, "choose" is an understatement because we simply just asked for all of them.
Their meats were so tender, the fat part didn't taste oily, the seasoning (tare, pepper, etc) were so well-made that this dinner session at Kintan was probably the best 90 minutes of my whole Saturday!
They also have side dishes on a buffet bar which was some kind of a distraction for you to make yourself full and not able to order meats anymore... Which worked on me hahaha. The edamame tasted not so good. Chicken karaage? Great. Grilled corn and enoki mushroom? Superb. Curry rice? Nope, that carb trap didn't able to touch me!
The only issue here was the staff, or I should say the dining system. Like any other yakiniku restaurants, you are given 90 minutes to enjoy the meal. The staff constantly reminded us about the time, and the finale, they gave us the check in the middle of our meal, like they were trying to make us go away immediately. That is...
Read moreIts all-you-can-eat grill restaurant, japanese style. The place is clean, the f&b are clean, and the servers are polite and helpful. The food variety is limited, the slices of meat served are regular variants, able to be re-stocked. The buffet contains three kinds of soup, one kind of rich japanese curry, fried and white rice, and three types of japanese noodles. The fried variants are only two, all chicken based. The regular in ayce such as sushi, kimchi, cake, fruit slices, salads, ice cream are all there. What is special about this place is their sauces, there are plenty to choose from, but only one variant of chilli sambal unfortunately. The beverages are also generic, nestle's type of fruit teas, coca cola sodas', coffee maker, infused water, only those stuff, but hey that's good enough i think. This is a good place to eat, but too generic for the f&b choices, that you can find in any...
