Amertha Warung Coffee — Restaurant in Jakarta

Been here because me and my friend longing for coffee with a great place. After we searched where to have a coffee around Mayestik, so we're decided went to Amertha Warung Coffee. The first came in, the staff greet us politely. The ambience is oldish and Jawa banget! you can tell by the drawing in it's walls (u should come here first, so you'll know). Oh, and they have wide space of smoking room with AC! So you're gonna stay cool.

The toilet is super clean, no bad toilet smells! I think it is one of the important thing you should care about.

We were order ice Americano and ice Kopi gula aren. My friend and I are agree that Amertha Coffee is good. Their coffee were not to acidic so it's safe for your stomach. I ordered Kopi gula aren, so let me review about it: The sweetness of Kopi Gula aren didn't overpower, not too milky but you can tell it's mixed well with the coffee,

Unfortunately, we're not order their foods because we've already eat before came here. Some other reviewers told that their Nasi Ayam sisit is recommended, but let me try that another time.

Another why Amertha Warung Coffee is being a great place because you can consider this place to be a WFH spot. Their wifi is working smoothly, the music is not too loud so you can do your online meeting safely, and the have plenty of tables (not sure they're provide electric plug in...

Baru pertama kali di smoking area, hanya saya SENDIRI di cafe tidak ada pelanggan lain, lagi cerutu, diminta matiin cerutunya. Kalau minta matiinnya secara friendly si masi ok ya. Ini caranya, 1. AC di smoking room lgsg dimatiin, habis itu saya baru didatengin “Cigarnya tolong dimatiin ya. Bau.” Karena memang sudah ga merasa enak, saya tawari diri untuk keluar dari resto, dan cari tempat lain buat lanjutin cigar saya. Saya gk mau matiin cigar saya karena 1. Cigar kalo di matiin lalu dinyalakan ulang udah gak enak, dan 2. Cigarnya kalo saya buang sayang karena harganya ga murah. Dan kalau memang kebijakannya tidak boleh cigar saya tidak masalah, saya willing untuk pergi cari tempat lain, tapi saya kekeh ga mau matikan cigar saya dan mending saya keluar dari restonya, MESKIPUN pesanan saya belom abis. Mungkin karena udh liat saya lumayan kesel akhirnya dibilang “ya udah abisin aja, tapi abis ini jangan nyalain lagi.” Surprisingly, setelah staff/manager/owner yang tadi negur saya, dia langsung ngerokok juga, pdhal saya sndiri juga ga gitu suka bau rokok, dan karena memang saya lihat smoking areanya masih ga ada orang lain waktu saya pertama masuk dan masih saya sendiri jadi saya pilih ngopi disini. Tapi ya sudah, karena mungkin dia manager disitu yang bikin peraturan jadi saya gak bisa berargumen. Intinya, saya baru pertama kali aja ngerasain sebagai pencerutu tidak diterima sebegitunya oleh cafe yang seharusnya mengutamakan pelananan/customer service. Saya suggest, next time kalo segitu antinya dengan cerutu bisa pasang signage “no cigar” supaya yang datang bisa lebih aware. Kalau tidak kebaca, tolong tegur sebelum cigarnya dinyalakan, jangan disuru matikan saat sudah menyala.

The name quite misleading, because makes us think this is only a coffee shop. But actually this establishment also offer food menu is like a restaurant. Like an exotic traditional quisine, to be exact. So, don't hesitate to stop by if you are hungry.
