We came in on 24th May 2023 at dinnertime by reservation via whatsapp. The place has a very nice vibe, great colour combinations, and they even gave a simple presentation on their cuts of the day on your table, displaying the fresh meat range that you can choose from. They also bring us a welcoming snack which is a very well-salted butter popcorn.
Menus we've tried including: Lobster mac n cheese, Parmesan butter aged sirloin, Creamed spinach, Truffle sauce, Earl grey creme brulee mocktail
For the starter, Lobster mac and cheese was a huge delight with a very strong truffle aroma, the lobsters were cut in pieces that are quite too small to my liking but my partner said it was perfect. There was no fishy smell whatsoever and it left us so satisfied. 10/10 would recommend! Wet aged butter parmesan steak as the main star was phenomenal. We asked for a medium-rare steak and they delivered exactly that. It was so soft and buttery, the meat has a distinctive earthy and the specific aged meat taste to it. Chef cured and cutted the meat from the kitchen, so we were able to eat it simply right away by the time it arrived at our table. The kind waiter recommended the creamed spinach as their most favoured side dish on the restaurant. It was served with a very-soft boiled omega 3 egg and was supposed to be eaten by mixing together with the spinach. The dish was lightly creamy, not too much on the flavours, and overall was okay. Truffle sauce had enough truffle aroma to it, coplemented with a decent amount of saltiness. We tried eating it with the steak and creamed spinach. Definitely made the spinach more flavourful. As for the mocktail, the earl grey brulee was very very delicious. We knew it would be great, the moment we read the description of this particular menu. Consisting of the unique bergamot taste of earl grey topped with whipped milk/light cream and a hint of roasted rosemarry, this drink gave a pleasant refreshing, creaminess, yet a calming aromatic herb sensation. We were too full to add in a dessert, but they gave a token to trade in with an ice cream for the purchase of our steak and it was for a very chocolate-y soft serve on a crisp cone. Even the complementary ice cream tasted very nice.
Overall it was a very pleasing experience to dine here. I would recommend anyone to try...
Read morehad been in my "want to go" list since 2023🫠 and just had the chance to actually try this yesterday to celebrate my bf's bday🫶🏼
we did reserve in advance (2 days before) just because it was friday night and im just afraid its gonna be packed (the admin on whatsapp also recommended the same)
told them we were celebrating my bf's bday and they even told us about the special bday treat (free blueberry crumble cake h+3 the day)🤗
ordered several menu but here we go : truffle pasta aglio olio - prawn rib eye steak - truffle sauce(not included) + curly fries (not included) and, blueberry crumble (complimentary bday) ice cream (complimentary) and 2 drinks.
firstly, popcorn as a complimentary. just ur typical perfect buttery movie popcorn. almost finished everything on my own but stopped myself from having sore throat lol
second, truffle pasta (will be cooked infront of you on the cheese wheel) + aglio olio prawn pasta the truffle pasta for me was just the right amount of everything. the cream, truffle, cheese, everything was just perfect. personally, i dislike carbonara pasta - too creamy for me and it will leave a bit weird taste on my throat yet this one doesn't. the portion for me was just okay. but my bf says its not as huge as u think it is.. so a bit small for him aglio olio just okay for me. not al dente for my liking, and for the price? not worth the amount of prawns that you get (only 2 pcs). you can still taste the spiciness and the garlicky flavor though
steak. okay for me. not the best steak but good enough. chose grilled as my choice and medium for the meat. i like the crunchiness you get from the sides of the meat + as i dont like meats that are too oily or too much fat, this is a good choice as i can seperate the fat easily (they are all at the sides of the meat) truffle sauce? perfect! different from the truffle pasta* fries? ur typical crunchy curly fries.
ice cream? so so, too milky for me but it was free so why complaint
blueberry crumble - just okay. maybe a 6/10? but it was free, so thats okay too🫶🏼
overall...
Read moreHad my birthday dinner here with my son. Dining atmosphere was not too comfy coz it’s not bright, not looked like a wow dining place to eat steak. Served popcorn as starter-interesting-coz usually if you called yourself a steakhouse, we should be served with butter and bread. Tried the mac n cheese-too salty to me although waitress said that it’s used to be the same way of cooking. Maybe it’s too cheesy or the chef put too much salt n forgot that it still comes with cheese. Mushroom soup - not pricey and also too salty, crouton was not crisp enough; if I could rank this one only 2 compared to mushroom soup at Toby’s. Rib eye steak was good, medium well was just right; Fillet Mignon was also good and tasted just right. The only low point on steak was that we had to pay for the sauce-which to me it sounded ridiculous where steak houses only charge for additional serving. They did not have potato and veggies as free side dish either. You have to pay for these OMG! Plus point at the finishing part was the FREE ice cream cone for each steak ordered. One time visit is enough and will not have a single thought to come over for next visit as we still have lots of steak...
