I had dinner with a friend at this newly opened restaurant. We ordered foods and dessers seen in pictures. The foods were all really good. The combination of aburi salmon, tanuki, engawa and ikuri made the sushi roll crispy as well as tasty. The meats as in sukiyaki, gyutan and lambchop were mostly tender and juicy. For the desserts, I liked matcha more than mochi. The kinako on top did not blend well with kiromitsu syrup. This restaurant had a Japanese-like ambience with wood touch around the dining area. The services were attentive and responsive. The only drawback was probably the price. We spent an overall around 1.6 million for two people. Imho, it was a little too expensive.
I came here for the second time with another friend. We ordered strictly sashimis and sushis. For sashimis, we ordered sashimi moriawase (see picture). All sashimis were good. They were fresh and tasty. I did not know each of them. Some I knew were chutoro, otoro, tuna, hamachi, hokkigai and shima aji. The sushis were engawa roll, tuna spicy roll and aburi salmon yuzu spicy roll. My favorite was still engawa roll. The runner up was the aburi one, which gave us a mix of sweet, spicy and sour taste. The tuna roll was just ok. I did not how much we spent since my friend paid the bill.
Coming back for the third time, and this time was for a family birthday dinner. Here we ordered various dishes seen in the pictures. Firstly, the shabu-shabu was good: the soup, the meat and the seafoods. For the other meats (tenderloin and wagyu) were juicy but rather chewy. For the other seafoods (squid, tuna and salmon in carpaccio), they were fresh and tasty. The chicken skin was crispy and flavorful. For the salads, they were okay. We spent about 2.87 million for...
Read moreTried a few salmon-based dishes here for lunch, and overall it was a nice experience.
Portions were generous, especially the size of the fish on each sushi, which was surprisingly big. One thing I appreciated was how they handled the mentai. For the dishes that came with mentai, the amount wasn’t over the top, so it didn’t overpower the flavor of the sushi.
The Aburi Salmon Yuzu Spicy Roll was my favorite. It had a great mix of textures from the salmon and ebi furai, and the yuzu relish gave it a fresh, citrusy taste that went well with the spicy mayo. I genuinely liked this one.
The Salmon Mentai Crispy Rice was also enjoyable. The rice was crunchy without being too hard, and the topping was flavorful.
Salmon Kawarifu Tataki was just okay for me. It’s light and refreshing, but not quite my kind of dish. Still, not bad.
The Saba Bosushi was okay. The mackerel had a strong flavor, which has a stronger, fishier taste compared to salmon or tuna. So this one depends on personal taste.
Overall, I’d come back again to try more dishes. Nothing felt overly complicated, and the flavors were clean and balanced. The place is also wheelchair friendly, with smooth access from the entrance to the seating area, which is...
Read moreAfter having a private whisky tasting session near this restaurant and we still want to spend some time together, we decided to have a go.
Got no expectations for this japanese modern dishes. We ordered some Tempura, Fuji Don, Smoke duck truffles udon, Ika mentai meshi, Salmon head teriyaki, Salmon mentai crispy rice, Salmon salad and some skewers. All taste great and yummy specially the Salmon head, huge and grilled too perfection. The other one is the Smoked duck which is tender and got really great umami.
Interior is basic, not to fancy but got several vocal points such the entrance. The open kitchen is another view point specially for people using the bar side table.
Service was excellent. Great Cheff and staff.
Will be back soon with the...
