Brizola Dining — Restaurant in Jakarta

I come here to check on the ambiance, since many people mention in the review that it’s nice and quiet so you can have a meaningful conversation with people here. I might be lucky since me and my friend are the only customer during the time of our visit so I must say the ambiance is really quiet and chill to talk.

Then we move to the food and beverages, I order roasted chicken with biryani rice, where the chicken and the rice are both too sour for me to say that they are good. I think change the biryani rice with garlic rice or white rice may quick solve the issue but since these are the default option, the restaurant has to work on improving the taste. My friend order the burger, which based on my taste, it’s good though lack of differentiation with other burger in other place.

I order jasmine green as my drink, where the restaurant fails to serve it hot in a cold rainy day. The tea is somehow a bit higher than the room temperature so I can’t enjoy it. I ask for a change, which they did, but the latest tea still has the similar temperature with the last one.

Overall, the ambiance helps the review so I am okay to give a 4, but if it’s crowded, I think 3 star would be sufficient for...

The place sure looks and is fancy. Love what they did with their interior.

They have both smoking and non-smoking.

Zomato Gold promotion is available but it is only applicable for non-steak menu and max only 2 account per-group.

The serving time is a bit long but maybe it was because we came in a huge group.

The Lychee and Herbs is quite nice. The ginger, honey, and orange kicks pretty nicely on the mouth.

The quesadilla is tasty, especially combined with the cilantro mixed sauce.

The US Rib Eye is also nice. Easy to cut (i ordered it medium well), easy to chew, but it doesn't really melt. They seasoned it well. The accompanying sauce is the hero here. It's thick, earthy, and mixed nicely with the meat. Garnish is pretty (there are cucumber, red daikon, mushroom, zucchini). The mashed potato is a delight (very creamy).

So cozy I love it! Though I'm surprised if you want to lounge in the sofa in smoking area, you have to bill at least IDR 1 mio. So, take at least six friends who eat a lot, if you want to sit there. I don't blame them though, Indonesian tend to lounging for hours but ordering just one drink. I ordered Caesar Salad and iced chocolate. The salad only has like one vegetable with cherrie tomatoes, croutons, piece of bread, slices of chiken & beaf, an egg with mayo dressing. It's not worth the 68k but it's fine, I guess. Iced chocolate doesn't taste like your usual chocolate drink, it's chocolate milk! Blend it with rocks and/or ice cream, you'll have chocolate milkshake. Sorry that I'm quite disappointed in that. Overall, the place is great and comfy, but my first impression of the dishes wasn't so good. Planning my second trip now and hopefully...
