The worst experience at a coffee shop in Jakarta! 👎🏻
First, when I was about to order, the cashier staff didn’t smile at all, seemed impatient while I was choosing the menu, didn’t recommend any of their menu items, and when I asked, they didn’t explain anything at all—where’s the product knowledge? (the cashier was a female staff member).
Second, all the staff were busy with their own things even though it was peak hour on a Saturday night, but only two people were on standby at the bar while the line was long, and when we tried to call them, they seemed very busy.
Third, I brought my 2-year-old child and asked them to warm up her food using my container (which is heat-resistant) in their microwave. I’ve done this many times at cafes or coffee shops, but the way they communicated their concern that my container might melt was very annoying, even though I know it’s safe to warm up because my container is heat-resistant. (this was 2 male staff on cashier and runner)
Fourth, the coffee and food here are overpriced, and the coffee tastes was so-so. The carbonara pasta I ordered was also too salty. And the butter croissant was too dry and cold.
You need to retrain all your staff about customer service and SOP. I used to work as a barista, and I know the correct SOP and how to treat customer wisely.
Won’t be coming back here again...
Read moreLocated inside the LCC, this coffeeshop offers wide selection of main dishes, cakes, pastries and drinks. The cafe setup is certainly nice for simple hangout but i don't think it's suitable for working whole day long in here.
Ordered Iced Americano and Dark Choco Espresso Sliced Cake. The Americano is mid, the espresso base is quite nice but i think they're adding a bit too much water in it. The Dark Choco Espresso Sliced Cake is kinda bomb. Not too sweet, the blending of coffee and dark chocolate taste is certainly nice. Not to mention, the portion is quite generous - you can see how big it is compared to my palm 😂
The service is really nice. Barista is proactively giving recommendation while i'm looking at the menu. They also serve takeaway to your dishes without any additional charges.
But ya, be wary while you're stepping on the gravel pavement. There are some cats roaming around and one of the cat took dumps on the gravel area - right besides my seating while i was enjoying my cake :'). In my opinion, they should provide litter box for the cats, seeing they wore some necklace and might be owned by the...
Read moreSejiwa Coffee is a coffee shop from Bandung that opens their first Jakarta outlet here in Lucy Curated Compound (LCC) Aditiyawarman. They have both of the indoor and outdoor area. With the friendly staff, we need to choose the menu, order, and pay directly at the cashier. After that, we need to find the seat and wait for the order.
They serve some of the Indonesian and Western foods, from the appetizer, main dishes, desserts, pastries, along with the variant of coffee and non coffee drinks.
Let's see what we tried!
Bebek Goreng Amin (IDR 75,000) White rice cooked with herbs that is served with the soft, tender, sweet and spicy fried duck. I like the fried duck along with the chilli. The herbs from the rice isn't that flavourful.
Dark Choco Espresso Sliced Cake (IDR 52,000) For the dessert, we shared this big and tall dark choco espresso sliced cake. The dark chocolate and espresso cake is soft and less sweet.
Ice Cappuccino (IDR 38,000) I requested it without sugar. They made it well with the dominant...
