This restaurant is not just another Japanese restaurant in Jakarta. This restaurant is also a must visit, as they also have good health protocol towards customer. We need to wash our hands before entering the premises, and they also checked for our body temperature. Staff on duty greets us very warmly and they are very patient, explaining to us whenever we have things to ask to them.
If you are also an addict for OOTD photos, then this place will also suit for you. The ambiance here is good, the distance between one table to another is obeying the protocol. If you need to have private room for lunch meeting or gathering, they have more choices on the second floor. In short, you will love the experience.
Me and my friends ordered: JALAPENO ROLL: You have tuna and slice of jalapeno on top, fresh and delicious, all blend together with avocado and mayonaise.
Mentaiko Yaki Onigiri There are only two pieces, but you will get full immediately, delicious though you probably would be surprise as a bit salty on top.
ASORTED KUSHIYAKI You either choose sweet or salty, we have chicken wings, chicken skin, gyutan, chicken heart and shishamo
For drink, all of us ordered ocha (free refill). They have variety of beverages, so you don't have to...

The beef tataki is decent but the meat was tougher than expected. The chicken nanban was also quite dry and tough to chew; it didn't have the juiciness that chicken nanbans are supposed to have.
The kushiyakis were decent. The chicken skin, the momo, and the beef tsukune were quite good and sweet in flavor.
However, the absolute epitome of the disappointment came from the zaru soba. The soba seemed like a day-old soba with the texture of a stale dried-up rubber band. The temperature was room temperature, while the ice that was provided didn't even touch the bamboo mat under the sobas. Lukewarm soba shouldn't be a thing. And to add the cherry on top, the dipping sauce of the soba was also room temperature and without much of a kick or flavor.
Thankfully, the garlic rice somewhat saved the day by having at least some flavor.
But overall, the whole restaurant experience fell flat. I would not recommend and will not...
Read moreThis place is fishy ;-P sorry for the pun - I mean If you like fish, especially raw ones, you will probably like it. I prefer beef - the beef is good too. The style of rice of the rice bowl is a bit dry, if you like this type, rather than the sticky "pulen" type which I prefer.
The place is spacious and luxurious. The tables are large and haa a grill/stove? The front ones can fit 4 to 6 people. There is also nice private rooms in the back that can fit more. If you pick the front tables you better like hearing people shouting welcome in Japanese. There are a limited number of guests so fortunately they are not shouting all the time.
The service is good. The food and drink is good depending on your taste. It is just pricy. Premium for esthetics more than gustatory reasons. But then again we only tried a few things. Perhaps we just missed the culinary delights that would have us come...
