The King of "Bubur musti diaduk" hill, I've been enjoying this Bubur since gasoline price per litre less than 1000 IDR. Since then, til now, i never heard anyone say," rasanya mirip sama bubur ayam X". It is so famous others trying to claim the name of Bubur Ayam Cikini just to fails, this bubur stall started from gerobak until serving people across generations from 2 storey ruko.

Came the day of Krisis Moneter, presidential impeachment, 97 riots, Bom Kuningan, Pandemic, and this Bubur Ayam still going strong. That alone a testament on how good this bubur ayam is.

Bubur Ayam Cikini H.R. Suleman is a Legend in my book. A prestigious entry along with Kikugawa, Nasi Goreng Kambing Kebon Sirih, kwetiaw bun kelapa gading, and Sop Kambing Dudung.

Anyway, lets start with the review.

I cannot say much about the bubur itself, if you love it, you'll love it. However, at the minimum it'll go as "unique" in your book.

Service, welp, it started as a gerobak and nothing wrong with the formula, don't compares it to fancy restaurants. The problem is the parking lot for car, none.

Atmosphere. The place put you first hand to experience the vibrant activity of Cikini area, however, along the tourists walking by so does pengamen.

All and all, i think i will be eating their bubur dishes until...

The legendary porridge in Jakarta, been there since my father's youth time in 80s and the taste is still the same. The porridge is very mushy, especially if you ask for egg to be put inside, will he very yummy. This is not the kind of porridge that you might usually buy, that is already seasoned, you need to add your own seasoning, soy sauce, chilli and everything is on the table.

They also served martabak, nasi goreng and other foods. They are also great, the taste is somehow middle east, rich of spices.

Parking area around the place is usually packed, but there will be an (unofficial) parking officer ready to help. Within walking distance from Cikini station, just ask the security officer and they will show you the way.

The only lacking in this place is that it is very full of street musicians, beggars, and sellers. If you want to get some peace from it, eat in the 2nd or 3rd floor. It might also not be the cleanest restaurant in the Earth, a heads up for...
