Croco by Monsieur Spoon - FX Sudirman — Restaurant in Jakarta

Had one of the most disappointing dining in experience here. I had lunch on weekday here with my former colleagues who came from abroad, and due to scheduling clashes I joined late. As I have a meeting afterwards, I aimed for a quick lunch.

The waiters didn't explain enough on how to order. When I approached the cashier they told me to go back to the table. No one came to take my orders. Only after my friends helped calling the waiter that my table got tended.

Then comes the long wait. I ordered what I supposed to be a quick dish - stir fried kuay teow with beef. It never came. Even when I asked the dish update right before we close bill, almost an hour after ordering, the waiters had no explanation.

I don't normally give 1 star, but honestly, I was furious. I had to skip lunch that day, and our fuss was embarrassing to my friend. Back then I've also expressed my disappointment directly to the waiters, but they only smiled (un)apologetically without any explanation. I loved their pastries, but this experience has left a...

The worst Croco I have ever visited! The service was incredibly slow. It took 15 minutes just to have my order taken, and no one seemed to care that I was sitting there as a guest. After my order was finally taken, it took over 30 minutes to be served. I spoke with Sabila, the server on the second floor, who said she was in charge of the entire floor by herself. She also mentioned that the bell on the table to call for service wasn't working, so why is it there? Poor Sabila had to manage 10 occupied tables alone.

The food was mediocre. The cireng was very small—I've had bigger and tastier ones at local coffee shops. The portion of the Nasi Bakar was tiny with very limited squid. The only redeeming factor was the Kiwi Cheese drink and the cashier named Fasser, who served me with a genuine smile. Because of this, I increased the rating from 1 to 2 stars.

No wonder the Google review rating is 3.9—the lowest I've seen...

Restorannya cukup besar, terdiri atas dua lantai, ada indoor dan outdoor dan sangat crowded. Saat itu kami berkunjung di Hari Jumat malam. Pilihan makanannya cukup bervariasi, dari asian, western, hingga pastries. Ambiencenya juga cukup nyaman

Kekurangannya ialah saat datang, kami diminta untuk mencari meja sendiri dan menu yang tidak konsisten. Saat itu diminta scan QR dan diarahkan oleh waitress melihat "Menu All dine-in", rupanya saat kami sudah order, baru diinfokan kalau yang berlaku hanya "Menu Dine In FX". Selain itu kami pesan lemon tea, gula dipisah, yang datang lemon tea dengan gula yang datang terpisah.. namun disajikan masih dalam satu gelas alias sama aja :")

Untuk pesananan minumannya sangat cepat disajikan, tetapi untuk makanan.. astaga. Kami sampai sudah menunggu hampir sejam dan harus bertanya ke 3 waitress untuk mengecek makanan kami ke dapur, dan semua berlalu begitu saja. Bahkan dua meja disebelah kami yang baru datang, makanannya lebih dulu disajikan.. baru tidak lama setelah itu, beberapa waitress berkeliling menanyakan seluruh meja apakah ada order yang belum keluar. Sistem pemrosesan di dapurnya masih sangat perlu perbaikan. Semoga semakin baik kedepannya. Untuk awal ini saya maklumi karena mungkin baru buka, jadi masih keteteran saat restoran terlalu ramai
