Damascus Culinary Jakarta — Restaurant in Jakarta

Came for dinner on 2nd April 2025. Order Mandy Beraini 2 sets. There is only 2 table waiting for food including us. Waited almost 1/2 an hour the food arrived but only 1 was delivered and when we asked he said they forgot to punch in 2nd order. Waited again for another 15 min for the 2nd plate of Nasi Beraini to arrive. But seriously when we start to eat the chicken is hot at out side & cold at inside. The chicken is in the freezer & reheated. We have to send back the order and request for a new order…. Tired of waiting…. The order received later after 15 minutes…. Not recommended. Seriously the service are so poor & tired of waiting when the restaurant is only booked by only 2...

I ordered two entrees and I am still hungry. Got lamb mandi and lamb kufta, they were both so tiny especially no more than 10-15 grams of meat in mandi. I don't think I ever got less meat in a plate in my life. The kufta tasted bad with chewy junk meat clearly in it, the mandi and its rice actually tasted good, but after removing the bones and having only 15 grams of meat left, it is kind of irrelevant how that 15 grams taste! And they want to charge $3.5 for a cup of hot water which is...

If you're craving for middle eastern food with a cozy ambience, this is the place you must go! Damascus resto is located inside hotel gran alia. Anyway The food is great! We tried lamb briyani and kasbah fish, the lamb was sooo soft.. no need to struggle to bite it, and the rice + sambal, well done sir, you made my tongue fantasized. I really like the garden view, made me forget about craziness of jakarta for a while....
