Fujiyama 55 has definitely become my new go-to spot for ramen. Personally, I prefer it over the other ramen place downstairs.
We ordered several dishes, starting with the Yasai Itame (IDR 36K) — a vegetable dish that completely exceeded my expectations. Despite being a simple veggie stir-fry, it had a unique and surprisingly rich flavor.
For the main, we went with the Tonkotsu Red (Level 3). The pork was tender, the broth had a deep umami flavor, and my favorite part was that the fat didn’t linger unpleasantly in the throat — something I really dislike, and often experience at other ramen spots. In that regard, it was a noticeable improvement over the ramen place downstairs.
We also had the pan-fried gyoza, which I absolutely loved. The filling was generous, and the thin flour wrapper had just the right texture — crisp on the bottom and delicate all around.
I saw a review mentioning that the taste differs from branches in Guangzhou or Bangkok. I wouldn’t expect a completely identical taste across different countries, and personally, I’m not traveling to Bangkok for Japanese food. That said, the dishes here were flavorful and satisfying in their own right.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the overall experience was excellent. I’d definitely come back — this place deserves...
Read moreStopped by for a late dinner and tried the Tsukemen and the Pork Ramen.
The Tsukemen comes with thick, chewy noodles—nice texture, topped with a silky ajitama, a tender roll of chashu, menma (bamboo shoots), a pile of sliced negi, and a sheet of nori. The dipping soup is hot and concentrated, salty-savory with a pork/fish backbone that clings to the noodles without turning muddy. A quick swirl through the soup plus a bite of scallion is the move; it keeps each mouthful bright.
The Pork Ramen leans creamy and comforting. Broth is rich but clean, light, the kind that coats the spoon rather than the lips. Wood ear mushroom adds crunch, sesame gives a little nuttiness, and the chashu is soft with a light char around the edge. Noodles hold up to the heat and stay springy to the end.
Room is cozy with an open kitchen, quick service, and all the condiments on the table if you want more kick. Sadly there's really no people when I visited. Solid bowls, fair prices—I’d come back for the tsukemen’s...
Read moreI visited this place in May, the shio ramen was actually good enough (i love the noodle's textures) but the waitress's attitude was minus.
I just spent a 3 hour journey to Jakarta and it was pouring hard that day. I was really tired and hungry and from the review, they said the ramen was good so I had high expectations. But the waitress (two ladies with hijab) was so ignorant, inattentive (i asked how big is the portion for the gyoza and dijawab jutek banget omg) I lost my appetite already.
I planned to recommend this place to my friend but if you don't improve your service, I won't do it.
Please mind that you're doing a japanese restaurant business when they're known for having good...
