HokBen - Mall Kelapa Gading 2 — Restaurant in Jakarta

I ordered a bento meal and was informed that the main dish wasn’t ready yet, so they served the side dishes separately first. While I appreciate the notice, serving it that way felt unprofessional. A bento should be served as a complete meal.

The mayonnaise was already mixed into the vegetables, but the portion was very small. It almost felt like it was done on purpose so customers would have to ask for more. And when I did, I was charged an extra 5,000 IDR. That really left a bad impression.

the store is in renovation when i come, but they still open for dine in and take away, but they can't cook there. the foods is from the other branch.

tempura are overcooked, it's dry and though. same also with beef yakiniku and other fried dish. the menu are not complete, not all ingredients are available.

I'm amazed people can give this place 4.5 stars. They took my order even though the food wasn't ready, despite me saying I couldn't wait. They offered me broken shrimp and whatever else they had, and I agreed. But when I reached the cashier, the staff said there was no more food and I had to wait. What a service!
