As a former frequent customer of Yuraku in Kelapa Gading back in its glory days around 2010, it pains me to say that my recent visit to this once-thriving all-you-can-eat yakiniku restaurant left much to be desired. Despite my reluctance to give a one-star rating, several glaring issues warrant this unfortunate assessment.
First and foremost, the quality of the meat served has noticeably declined. Instead of the succulent, thinly sliced cuts I once enjoyed, the meat now arrives in paper-thin containers, lacking the freshness and flavor that characterized Yuraku in its prime. It's disheartening to witness such a stark departure from the standards that once made this establishment a culinary gem.
Additionally, the appetizers, once a highlight of the dining experience, have fallen victim to the decline in quality. The fried meatballs are disappointingly oily, lacking the crispiness and flavor that made them a favorite among patrons. Similarly, the sushi offerings suffer from an excess of mayo and a lack of freshness, failing to live up to their former glory.
The quality of the drinks served at Yuraku also leaves much to be desired. The ocha, once a refreshing accompaniment to the meal, now tastes oddly off-putting, while the Thai milk tea lacks the freshness and flavor that one would expect from such a beverage.
However, what truly seals Yuraku's fate as a one-star establishment is the presence of a cockroach spotted at our table during our visit. This egregious oversight not only tarnishes the reputation of the restaurant but also raises serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene standards.
In light of these shortcomings, I implore the management of Yuraku to take swift and decisive action to address these issues and restore the restaurant to its former glory. With a renewed commitment to quality and cleanliness, there's hope yet for Yuraku to reclaim its status as a beloved dining destination in...
Read moreHaving both the grill and shabu is the best of both worlds, it was perfect for me since I get to try the food in multiple styles and I very much welcome the variety. Spent more time on the grill since I prefer it more in general. It was delicious! I like the bulgogi beef in particular. Their saikoro steak was tasty, it takes a while to get going but it's worth it. For the shabu broth there were a variety of options. I ended up with konbu and kimchi, not usually my first choice but they proved to be really good. There's so many veg/meat options too. For me, konbu works well with the vegetables and kimchi with the meats/fish, but this could vary from person to person. Got to try the dry ramen and japchae as well and I don't know what went in there but they're both amazing. Please try them Service was very responsive. They often refilled the sauces for grilling so I never seem to run...
Read moreBeen visiting this OG yakiniku/shabu-shabu restaurant for years, and the quality has been very much consistent in terms of service and food. It gets very crowded during dinner time but the relatively short queues are well worthed. The AYCE experience here follows buffet style dining, there are different range of beef slices available, desserts, appetizers, Indonesian sweets and beverage to chose from. I really love their siomay. Sometimes, it take awhile for some of the food to be refilled/restocked, so dont be hesitant to take a bunch to your table. The waiters/staff are very kind and attentive too which elevates the satisfaction after each meal here. I'd rate it a good 5 star for the nostalgic feel this place gives to me and my family throughout all...
