KINKA Sushi Bar Izakaya, Plaza Senayan — Restaurant in Jakarta

This is a good place, they have very good ambience with their luxury style. ( One group with Jitlada Thai Cuisine ).

Their greeting the guest very well, the food also as fine as we wish. But the services need to be upgrade more better.

As we experience before when we eat in Jitlada ( The service very slow, when the food comeout also already cold , when we ask the spoon also so long and the waiter ask us to wait and wait again until it takes 15 minutes for me just to get the spoon ) .

I thought it will be different feeling when we eat here in KINKA. But it still same. Even the food come out when it's still warm and good, but the services take so long.

PROBLEM THAT NEED TO UPGRADE : Really takes time for the food to serve in the table even the restaurant are not to crowded ( only few table with the guest ). My husband food serve first, then when my husband almost finish eating ( even he eat so slow ) my food JUST SERVE to the table. This is really annoying services, i mean people go out for eat together so we can eat together, but if one to another food come out takes very long time to wait, it will be not good at all. One person just staring another person eating until their food finish, then your food just come out after that.

Their serve the spoon after the food come out to the table ( even chopsticks and the other are already available on the table ) but normally Spoon and Fork will be ready on the table After their Recieve the Food Order. But they give the spoon just together with the food. ( i know it may be not too necessary because we still can eat even only with chopsticks ) but their services still not too good. Spoon ready just after the food ready.

They only PREPARED 1 SPOON ONLY for my husband, while they also should know that our food are similar ( we order rice for both of us ) .

When my food serve to the table. They DON'T EVEN OFFER OR GIVE ME THE SPOON. THEN HOW People can eat if no spoon serve in to the table? ( I understand that the guest can asking gently to the waiter for the spoon ). But The service really Odd. They already give one Spoon to my husband ( i think they should already knows that THEY NEED also give another spoon for me ).

We were confused where to go and decided to try out Kinka Sushi Bar & Izakaya.

We were served by Mba Sinta for today's dine in session.

We ordered the following dishes: Wagyu A5 Garlic Fried Rice Salmon Shioyaki Beef Katsu Salmon Sashimi Salmon Sushi

I ordered the Wagyu Fried Rice to be paired with the Salmon Shioyaki for my Partner and it was amazing.

The fried rice was well seasoned and was very umami; the salmon shioyaki and the dish's saltiness really complimented the two dishes together.

The Beef Katsu was very soft and tender, but it was not seasoned with enough salt so a suggestion to the kitchen staff is to add extra salt on a small bowl for us to dip.

The salmon sushi and salmon sashimi was very fresh.

Unfortunately, i forgot to take a picture of the food dishes as i ate it really quicky because it was very delicious.

Overall, the restaurant was a really nice experience - and that the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Food rating is a solid 9.5/10, would definitely return here again on...

Great place, nice ambiance, yet quite overpriced compared to what we got. The quality of the food was good but somehow they didn’t serve it well.

Negitoro Maki (5/10 - 90K). The rice on their maki didn’t stick well together and it also a bit mushy.

Otoro special temaki (7/10 - 180K), i like it very muchhh, especially the foie gras and otoro. It’s very fresh! But again, the rice wasn’t that great

Beef steak with garlic butter (7.5/10 - 170K) was very good.

Beef milk miso nabe (5/10 - 175K) was okay and it took quite long time for the soup to get boiled.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t really packed on Friday night. Staffs were friendly, but it’s weird the restaurant have neither hand sanitizer nor wet tissue.

They also have VIP room with various alcohol beverages. If I’m not mistaken, the VIP area can seat up to 24...
