First of all I dont understand why their parking space is full but their restaurant isnt even packed at all. The place itself isnt too small but not too big.
Ok onto the food.
LOVE THEIR SHREDDED PORK WITH BUN. Their shredded pork was so tender parired with their fluffy handmade golden sesame bun, still fresh from the oven. It had a hint of sweetness that counteracts the richness of the pork.
HOWEVERRRR I feel very tricked by their menu. On the menu, they mentioned that the price for their bun is 31k/bun with min. order 2 pcs. So I ordered 5 pcs BUT 10 pcs came out! And they charged me 10 pcs x 31k = 310.000 eventhough I ordered 5 and not 10 pcs 🥲
My 2nd favorite food was the stir-fried yam. The yam cubes are savoury and sweet with golden exterior so crunchy on the outside but still soft in the middle. Served hot as well. Love the fluffiness on the inside!
Then I also ordered their hotplate beancurd which has a somewhat crispy exterior. Also enjoyable.
Ordered their Ca Fen, which is a mixture of mee sua, noodles and bee hoon in a soup with veggies, seafood and pork. Its okay, not bad, but wouldnt order it for next visit. I would stick with their Mee Sua instead. I am actually a fan of their mee sua, the texture was just right, the right thinness and everything was just so flavorful.
Lastly I had their deep fried crab meat in prawn paste. This is my least favorite dish because it didnt taste like anything just like any deep fried food. I didnt taste the crab nor the prawn.
Overall it was a great restaurant indeed, just wish they could update their menu as not to be too misleading. Should've just put the price for 2pcs and no need to put the price for one bun with additional notes to order min 2 pcs. Its...
Read moreTaste very good, service very sucks!
First of all its a different chinese food, not like the 'chinese food' most of indonesian know, its more like hongkong singaporean chinese food. So dont be surprise...
Its quite expensive but its worth the price... the taste is very good... they say its michelin star quality... it is... well balance... good portion, the meat taste fresh... the soup its the best i think.
Their signatures are also worth to try...
But.. the services is sucks, we know indonesian is bad on queing especially in this area, yet they dont know how to handle it... sushi tei is way better adapting with indonesian culture. Seriuosly...
They very slow to prepare the table. And they seem to discriminate quest with fewer pax (2/3 person) rather than bigger pax.
Food come very slow... around 20 minutes (thats one is okay) but my soup come after one hour! With the rest of the food already eaten.
Yet again.. because the soup is great, we are kinda okay with it.
But again we have to queue for a long time... which everything beacuse they want to give cash bacj vouchers, but they are not prepare for that.
So basicly they have alot of staffs but they seem do everything in chaos, they Check my table like 7 or 8 times yet the food never came.... really unfortunate for this kind...
Read moreOne of the best chinese resto in Jakarta. Food as always splendid. Unfortunately, very bad service. Dine in for dinner on 3rd May 2022, no reservation was allowed. Therefore, arrived dinner at 6pm to avoid crowd. Food ordered & arrived 1-by-1. After 35mins. Bad kitchen, no sequence of order service from appetizer, main course & desserts. With such reputation and pricy menu we deserve a normal service. Understanding to situation of public holidays and short handed staff. If you can get staff than close the resto. Don't force to open while you can serve client. Putien Sawah Besar standard of service have drop. I hope they will take note and don't even think you are already famous you can neglect...
