Located in Martha Tiahahu park or Taman Literasi, Pasta by the Park by Papa Ryo a place where people can enjoy pasta and Italian food as they sit by the park—as said on their name.
I haven’t gone to the park that much and I was surprised by how a little small the place was. Nonetheless, it was still cozy and it wasn’t a big deal personally.
I went here on Thursday at 3pm. It was a late lunch, thus there weren’t any lines at all and there were only two people other than my friend and I inside. So, I can’t say whether I’d recommend coming here during lunch time or not.
With the total of Rp210.000. I got their Spaghetti Aglio Olio (Rp75.000), Truffle Fries (Rp40.000), and Tiramisu Classico (Rp55.000).
Everything tasted good. As someone who enjoys the garlicky flavor of the spaghetti aglio e olio, this was kind of lackluster. It wasn’t spicy either so people who want to try the dish and aren’t good with spice can enjoy it as well.
The Truffle Fries is what I actually enjoyed most. It was salty, savory, and the sauce complemented the fries well, though the price can be a bit pricey for what it is. But it is made with truffle oil, so I’m not that bothered about it much.
Lastly, the Tiramisu Classico. It’s sweet and creamy but also very coffee-y. I don’t think that you can ever go wrong with a slice of tiramisu and it was a nice dessert to end the meal. But again, it wasn’t anything special or life altering—it was just a plate of a tiramisu cake.
Although I had shared the fries with my friend, I was very much full when I ate the last spoon of the tiramisu that I wasn’t able to finish the fries.
Overall, I quite enjoyed the meal and experience. It’s something that I’d probably recommend other people to try if they want. I would like to try their other pasta dishes some other time to see if...
Read moreDuring my initial visit to Taman Literasi in Blok M, I discovered several intriguing cafes. Due to its strategic location and direct connection to the MRT, traffic in the area was quite congested. One of the cafes that caught my attention was Pasta by the Park, although most of the establishments in the vicinity had limited dine-in space. I surmise that this is the rationale behind their takeaway (cone) packaging.
The pricing at these cafes was quite high, with pasta dishes typically exceeding 75K and desserts averaging around 60K. I decided to sample one of their highly recommended dishes, Penne Polo Pesto. While the cafe was not particularly crowded at the time of our order (approximately 5 customers), I must note that the service was somewhat slow. The pasta was creamy and flavorful, but I personally found it to be...
Read morei first come to this place on a whim without hoping too much, turns out the taste exceeded my expectations! aku udah 2x kesini and fair to say i enjoy both times i went there. pertama aku cobain yang pesto penne dan truffle fries nya, it was really good ! 10/10. terus the second time i went i tried the pappardelle con sugo di manzo, menurut aku yang ini sausnya tasted more mild dari yang pesto, and it gives the pasta more shine which is a nice balance to the pepper-y patty. overall i still really enjoyed this one 9.5/10 !! selain itu i like how u can choose to be served in a cone so u don't really need to wait for a table, and also i appreciate how the staffs are so nice to you. for me, harganya worth it buat pasta seenak ini, i’ll definitely come back again to try more of their menu next time. such an underrated gem...
