We went here due to our love of Kfood. It's located in Gafoy, Lapiz. If you go from MKG 1, just turn left. You can find it in the middle of the gafoy area.
I thought we might be put on the waiting list since it was on Friday night. When we come, it's only a couple of tables, so we could go in right away. The ambience is really nice, comfy, and luxurious. The staffs really took good care of us & served us with the best smiles & attitudes.
We ordered several dishes as recommended on line. We got a free flow banchan, although not too many compared to the other Kfood resto in Kelapa Gading. The foods came with detailed & nice platting, including the spoon & chopsticks handle.
The taste, you could tell that they used a premium meats & ingredients. We ordered 2 types of samgyopsal, and it was amazing. Their Sundubu jjigae is one of the best that I've ever tried. The broth is not that thick, very warm & balancing the taste. But the portion is too small, even for me. we ordered spicy galbi, but it isn't spicy at all. But the broth is also taste great. we like their topokki, it came with a boiled egg & odeng. We could chew it well enough & will be one of my favorite topokki Banchan is not that many variation, although not that many. But for our family who always love Kfood, their kimchi is not that good. It's not ripe enough for our taste (that might be different than others).
Price wise, it's quite expensive compared to the other K restaurants around Gading, although there are still other resto that are more expensive. Will we come again, hmm..probably. Since there are many options available in Kelapa...
Read moreThe food was nice and price wise, I could say it’s above average. Whats so disappointing is that they ran out of kimchi on saturday night which I could not tolerate. How come an upper class korean restaurant run out of kimchi on the peak day which saturday night?
Not to mention , when I was about add my order they said that they have past their last order period. What’s bothering is they did not inform first to us if we have any additional order before closing it.
It will be great if they improve...
Read moreVisited Samwon by Samwon Garden during Gafoy's recent Bar Crawl event and it was a great deal. We exchanged two vouchers and received 2 full bottles of makgeolli!! We expected 2 glasses so that was a pleasant surprise and very generous of Samwon. Of course drinking makgeolli had to be accompanied with fritters and it was crispy, freshly fried. They served full spread of banchan with this deal and again it was unexpectedly generous. For desserts we had bingsoo and it was good as...
