Friendly service but I feel yakiniku is having some tough competition against korean bbq.
Compared to kbbq, you get free and refillable side dishes as well as complimentary ocha + dessert. Chanba only offered free soup which is delicious but nothing compared to kbbq.
No complimentary vegies or kimchi. Like the meat is nice, the sauce is nice… but again compared to the usual kbbq, it is in a tough spot.
Also they can’t help with the grill in the private room. Only cook in the kitchen.
The sukiyaki was drowning in the sauce too. They need to look up on how to do proper sukiyaki if they wanna be fancy (and im not talking about something like kansai’s style like sukiyaki rin). Also no tofu in the sukiyaki and the meat was pretty tough.
And the private room still kinda smell from the bbq and not that comfy to sit since you cant elongate your legs due to the grill. I think they need to put air purifier or stronger exhaust, and provide some of that smell erasing spray like in japan. It’ll elevate the whole experience at least, especially when you are charging such price + with the...
Read moreTried out this grill place, which has private dining room. Since it can be full, better to book a table first before coming. As for the room, i found it slightly tight due to the layout. But still comfy in a way. As for the food, it’s a whole other story. Got the small beef platter, which has 3 types of beef cuts including gyutan, and some mix veg too. The meat is fresh and juicy, and portion is plenty (500gr is good for 3 person). Opted to grill it by ourselves but actually they can cook it in the kitchen. And all grill items are served with 3 types of dipping sauce (sweet, salty savory, & spicy). Also got agedashi tofu, salmon skin crackers, soft shell crab karaage, & butter garlic fried rice. All were done well. Ingredients are fresh, cooked well, and nicely seasoned. And again, portion is plenty, making it shareable for upto 4 people. Service is also quick & the team is really attentive. Which is huge...
Buat menunya saya mencoba :
Chanba Salad (IDR 55k)
Saladnya segar. Potongan sayur ga terlalu besar jadi nggak sulit dimakan. Dressingnya cukup, nggak terlalu kering maupun terlalu banjir.
Deep Fried Gyoza Truffle Mentai (IDR 75k)
Truffle Claypot Rice Signature MB5 (IDR 185k)
Salmon & Tuna Aburi Roll (IDR 95k)
Potongan salmon dan tunanya segar. Ukuran juga bite size. Namun menurut saya sushi kurang enak. Nasinya beneran hambar.
Cheese Tteokboki (IDR 75k)
Another failed menu selain sushi menurut saya. Tekstur tteobokinya kenyal namun dalamnya masih agak alot.
Rasa saus dominan pedas. Nggak terasa perpaduan pedas, sekaligus sedikit asam manis khas saus tteokboki.
Fish cake juga kurang enak. Rasa tepung dan fish nggak berasa sama sekali. Jujur overprice dibanding rasa karena tteokboki minimarket pun fish cakenya masih ada rasa ikan.
Chanba Siganture Beef & Pork Platter (IDR 990kk
Seporsi bisa buat share 2-5 orang. Isinya ada aneka daging babi dan sapi.
Daging cukup segar. Babi sama sekali tidak berbau. Semua dagingnya empuk.
Daging enak dicocol pakai minyak wijen garam kalau suka gurih.
Apple Pie Fried Gyoza (IDR 65k)
Harga worth dibanding rasa.
Dalgona Matcha (IDR 40k)
Mungkin tergantung selera. Kalau kurang suka matcha pahit ini termasuk enak.
Tapi saya suka yang matchanya pekat. Jadi ini agak kurang rasa matchanya. Namun...
