Tom Sushi Mall Of Indonesia — Restaurant in Jakarta

Came on a Saturday noon and it was packed. There was a waiting list, but i didn't mind because they handled the waiting list in a very organized way. The staff informed us that we had 60 minutes to eat due to the waiting list.

Once we were seated we ordered some miso soup, salmon sashimi, and other sushi. Even though the place was packed, the service was fast and the staffs were very friendly.

The salmon sashimi was fresh, the miso soup was warm. We picked up salmon skin from the conveyor belt and it was still crispy. I think the unagi nigiri can be improved because the sauce was too overpowering. The coffee pudding was nice, the coffee taste was not too strong but also not too mild. They also had a new menu Matcha Crown, matcha ice cream with biscuit base. Thry said they will donate 10k for every Matcha Crown order.

It's the first time I tried Tom Sushi. My first opinion, they provides sushi with affordable price but also in cute portions (especially for their donburi). In this visit for lunch, I tried their Beef Tamago Cheese Maki (which is nice sushi with beef and cheese), Beef Teriyaki Mentai Rice (rice topped with mentai and beef teriyaki slice, it's slightly spicy), Chicken Teriyaki Don (which is delicious chicken teriyaki on top of rice), Inari Floss Sushi (inari with beef floss), Ika Geso Karaage (deep fried jellyfish) and Salmon Maki. Since the pricing is nice with cute portions, i'm tempted to keep ordering for more 😅. Overall, it's pretty nice experience visiting Tom Sushi for lunch even though they're full of crowds. I love the place. It is comfy. Either to go with family or friends. There are a bar and there are couch. Depends on what works best for you.

The service is good. But they only give us 1 hr time to eat. It is enough time, so far.

Taste super good. The rice is tasty. And the whole idea of the food is great. Interesting that not all the food is in the menu. I went there twice and I tried to get the same dish as the first time I went, but couldn't find it in the bar or in the menu. Apparently they are still serving them even thouh it is not in the menu.
