Yima Yila is a recommended Chinese food restaurant that provides both stir fried and soup dish with or without mala (the spicy and numbing seasoning). The restaurant consists of two floors that can provide dining in. The space is not that big, so most of the time, especially during lunch and dinner time, this restaurant will be crowded. The first time I was here for a lunch on Saturday. The first floor was already full, but they did not allow us, including the waiting list customers to dine in on the second floor because it was for the employees taking a break. This was quite disappointing. It will be much better to open the second floor, especially during the peak hours, right?
Well, let's not talk to much about it. Luckily, the food here makes me satisfied with the good taste. They provide variant of vegetables, some parts of the meat (beef, chicken, seafood, pork), mushroom, meatball, fishcake, crabstick, bean curd, noodles (egg noodle, potato noodle, yam noodle, shirataki, including rice that we could choose and custom as we like. The minimum order is 400 gram in weight with the price IDR 25,000 / gram. This food is suitable for sharing. After we choose the toppings, they will weigh it, then we pay based on the weight. We could choose the serving either in stir fried or soup style. The available spicy levels are Bumbu Wangi (fragrant and not spicy at all. This one is more savoury), Pedas Ringan (xiao ma / mild spicy), Pedas Garuk (zhong ma / middle spicy), and Pedas Setan (chao ma / very spicy).
I love the stir fried serving. The toppings that we have chosen will be served on a big and wide bowl with peanuts, grilled garlic, white sesame.
They maintain the health protocols as we can see that the employees are wearing both of the face mask and face shield, they provide hot water on each table, so that we could put the eating utensils for a few minutes before using it to...
Read moreYima Yila in Kelapa Gading offers a satisfying dining experience with their mala dishes available either with or without broth. Having tried both options, I prefer the non-broth version for its superior flavor. The dishes with broth are quite average and tend to be below standard.
The pricing is based on weight, with a minimum of 300 grams costing 28,000 IDR. You have the freedom to choose whatever you like from the showcase, whether it's all meat, all vegetables, or a mix of both.
The condiment selection is fairly comprehensive, featuring fish, beef, and pork. The variety of shabu-shabu condiments and delicious satay with coriander and mala seasoning are a treat. You must also try the lapciong sausages mixed with pork and ham for an extra flavor burst.
Be cautious with the highest spice level as it is extremely spicy, due to the use of a lot of bird’s eye chilies rather than purely mala spiciness. Therefore, I recommend choosing level 3 for a balanced heat that is more enjoyable.
Overall, Yima Yila is a great spot for those who love mala cuisine and a variety of...
Awalnya saya tidak peduli dengan harga, tetapi ada pepatah Tiongkok yang mengatakan "you get what you pay for". Semoga Anda...
