Overall a pretty decent pizza and pasta spot. I think the food is quite decent, although there seems to be some inconsistencies. This might be due to the fact that the restaurant is new and is still getting the hang of it. I'm sure these kinks will be sorted out in the future.
The food in general was quite good. Some of the pastas were quite bland and needed more salt while some of the pizzas were too salty. But I do appreciate the type of food they offer and that many of these minor faults could be easily fixed in the near future.
The pastas I ordered were the cacio e pepe and the carbonara. Both were quite lacking in flavor but they nailed the texture down quite well.
I personally loved the nasi goreng bebek (duck fried rice) the most. It was an amazing blend of textures and umami flavors in one dish. The rice was cooked perfectly and was by far my favorite dish.
The eggplant parmigiana fell flat. There wasn't any distinguishable texture. Everything felt mushy and the flavors were just too average – it tastes like any other tomato based dish with not much of a surprise or delight. This was my least favorite of them all.
The pizza was actually pretty good. They had a wood-fire oven fired up near the tables for the guests to see. The pizza dough was cooked well and the flavors were great! I'd love to eventually come back and try more of the other pizzas.
The restaurant didn't have many guests, and our group was pretty much the only party there (or at least the biggest one with the most people). Service was great and the wait staff was very attentive to all our needs. The manager was also around to ask for feedback and intently listens to the opinions of the guests.
Personally, there is still a lot to improve for this restaurant, but I have the confidence that they could eventually be a great restaurant. It's not quite there yet, but I can't wait to come back and experience a better and refined version of the restaurant. I don't love it now but I love what...
Read moreDined there once when it was Ocha and Bella. When I wanted to return with my wine group they were closed for renovation.. Finally this evening I had the chance to come for dinner...Overall the taste was okay. The portion was generous especially the lamb shank. Wine by the glass: They didn't have 3 out of the 4 they offered (that's a big miss...), the most unfortunate was I think maybe the owner/investor(?) was there when we dined and he seemed pretty upset and pretty much called almost all the servers, reviewing the books and he seemed visibly frustrated. Maybe they were having internal issues or something We kept eating and he left we thought that was the end of it...but surprisingly he came back with his family and the 'calling of the servers' continued and not sure what kind of questions he kept asking all i can tell from lipreading some staff just kept saying 'sorry sir'...now some of the kitchen staff got called and had food test with him in the middle of the restaurant. I know they're still ironed out the kinks and try to get the new place started but I felt sorry for the staff as they became on edge. I was so distracted by the whole thing I even forgot I had the discount coupon from Facebook (and I had paid already so they couldn't do anything about it). Wife told me she won't be coming back being uncomfortable with the situation. She told me she gives two stars max cause of the situation..i give 3 stars cause it was still a nice place and not terribly far from where we live. I hope whatever internal issue they had, they could figure out calmly and constructively. Maybe do briefing before the place opens or something. Too bad because without that, the place would've been a nice chilled out place to have a casual and relaxing dinner with friends (nice...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the newly renovated Zoti ( previously called Ocha Bella), and I must say, the experience was nothing short of amazing.
The restaurant's chic and modern interior design immediately caught my eye upon entering, giving a warm and relaxing ambience. The open kitchen offers glimpses of the chefs preparing the contemporary Italian dishes that would soon grace my table.
To start, I ordered the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, drizzled with a balsamic reduction. The dish was a perfect balance of creamy and tangy, with the tomatoes adding a burst of freshness.
For my main course, I decided on the all time favorite Carbonara with handmade spaghetti. The dish was a beautiful interpretation of the classic Roman pasta, with the addition of black truffle shavings elevating the flavors to another level. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the sauce had just the right amount of cheesiness and texture.
For the main I ordered the bone-in ribeye, which was cooked to perfection and served with a side of roasted root vegetables. The steak was tender and juicy, with a beautiful char on the outside.
For the dessert I ordered the tiramisu, which was a delightful twist on the traditional dessert. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were perfectly balanced, with the addition of a touch of orange zest adding a lovely citrusy note.
Overall, I highly recommend Zoti for anyone looking for a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine. The service staffs were attentive and visibly well trained, and the food was outstanding. I can't wait to return and try more of their...
