I feel terrible writing a bad review because the service here was the best in Tulamben, so friendly and attentive. However, visitors like me who do not have immunity to local bacteria should take caution so they don't experience what I went through. I ordered the chicken satay and tom yum soup, along with a mango juice which came blended. Perhaps they didn't use government ice, but I got something much worse than Bali Belly that night. This restaurant was my only meal of the day so I didn't have any other suspects. What started off like food poisoning turned into a full blown high-grade fever by the second night. I wasn't able to eat anything for several days, which really hindered my diving trip since I was in Tulamben for an advanced cert course. Read moreI’ve been here twice for food and I’ve been impressed both times. The first time I just wanted something light so I had vegetable spring rolls and sopa ayam. I know that I’ll be craving that chicken soup when I’m back home. It was absolutely delicious. The spring rolls were crispy, hot and filling.
The second time, I had the pork special. Really really nice and I wish I wasn’t a solo traveller otherwise I would have ordered the whole Babi guling which is what I really wanted to do!
