There are few times in Mrs E's life when a spicy meal has gotten the better of her, being a worldly woman with robust to dormant taste buds. However, the Nasi Goreng at Coco Bistro had a hidden surprise which numbed both tongue and brain. What started out as a very tasty dish, mild on spice but full on flavour turned into full on fire half way through the dish with one sudden mouthful. What appears to have happened is an errant chilli of volcanic magnitude found it's way into the dish - burning the skin off Mrs E's tongue, lip and brain cells. On alerting the staff that something was wrong they meekly informed our taster that food in Indonesia is spicy so.... Hmm there is no chef on the planet who would willingly serve a dish with one single mouthful of pure fire, there was clearly a mistake somewhere.

Wildly, that wasn't the only unexpected secret ingredient we found. Miss A ordered a chicken pizza (which arrived after the rest of the family had finished their food) which had a chicken bone in it. Thankfully it was Mr E who ate that slice and he managed to find it before trying to swallow it.

Aside from the two unexpected wildcards in the dishes, the food was actually very tasty. Mrs E suggests the chefs take a bit more care with what they're whacking into the food. In its current state this isn't fit to take your family nor anyone you love to. However, it's a pretty restaurant with an amenable menu. We recommend Coco Bistro if you are hoping to split up with or maim your dining companion on...

During our four months in Bali, finding delicious fried fish was a quest until we discovered COCO BISTRO. The Snapper Jimbaran entree served here exceeded our expectations of fried fish—the crispy perfection, pure taste devoid of any fishy scent, flavorful seasoning, and moist meat were remarkable. Pairing it with the Sambal gave it a flavor boost. The accompanying vegetables, dressed in a divine Balinese sauce, were so flavorful I wished I could I bottle it. Their sweet and sour sauce paired perfectly with the white rice.

Cap off this delightful meal with the molten lava cake and vanilla ice cream for yet another win! Don't miss their happy hour from 4pm to 7pm, where the Buy 1 Get 1 cocktails are only 100k —just ask for the hidden happy hour menu. Lastly, the impeccable service! Every staff member was engaging, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every one! The manager's personal inquiry about our dining experience and stay in Bali was a testament to their outstanding hospitality.

We had such a wonderful experience that we revisited two days later—a decision we didn't regret. Guess what we ordered? That’s right, the fried Snapper Jimbaran! And it was just as good as the first time. This Coco Bistro outshines the Sanur Beach location by far, which we’ve been to twice as well. With live acoustic music every evening from 8pm, it's not just a meal; it's an experience worth savoring. Make sure to add this stop to your Bali itinerary—you won't leave disappointed. Thank you Coco...

Coco Bistro was recommended to us by our local guide and we are so glad he did. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by an genuinely kind young gentleman named Dika. He showed us to our table and proceeded to explain their menu and made a few suggestions. Our server was Adi and he was very attentive. Our food arrived and each of our dishes were excellent. Our busboy, Gusti was such a happy young man and took great pride in delivering our food and offered to take our photos. Since we were staying for 9 days, we returned to this restaurant 5 more times. On our second visit, Dika was off and we were greeted by Eggi. He also greeted us with the same kindness and attentiveness. Our hotel was a 20 minute walk from the restaurant, but since we enjoyed the food, selection and the excellent staff so much, we didn't mind the walk and kept coming back. We tried a few other restaurants and some were ok, but nothing compared to Coco Bistro. If you are looking for an awesome restaurant with excellent food and great value, we highly recommend Coco's Bistro. You'll be happy you chose this place. I'll be telling all my family and friends that come to visit this area to definitely try Coco's. 2...

I absolutely love everything about this place! From the delightful food, ambiance, reasonable prices, impeccable service, and even their drinks – they're all truly exceptional! This marks my third visit, and since trying the Ayam Bakar Bumbu Bali during my first visit, it has become a must-order every time I return. Surprisingly, their Kungpao Chicken and Ayam Bakar Bumbu Bali, though not a signature dish, have been outstanding on both occasions; it makes me wonder how remarkable their signature dishes must be. Moreover, their milkshakes and mocktails were simply outstanding, the best I've ever had. The staff members are incredibly friendly, and honestly, I can't find a single fault here. ☺️☺️
