Shiv Shakti Restaurant Taste of India(Pure Veg Restaurant) — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

Extremely disappointing experience. We checked Google before visiting, and it showed this restaurant as open, with recent reviews and photos. There was no mention of it being closed for renovations, and no working phone number to confirm.

We traveled all the way from Sanur — around 15 km — because we wanted a pure vegetarian place for our fasting meal. On reaching, we found the restaurant completely closed for renovations. The owner, when contacted, shamelessly told us to go to their other branch 15 km away, without any apology or sense of responsibility.

Worse still, he did not even offer to pick us up from the closed location, nor did he arrange any timely delivery of food. We wasted 400,000 IDR on Grab fares just to end up hungry and frustrated.

It is highly unprofessional to not update your Google listing or social media if you’re closed, and then leave customers stranded like this. Please do not trust the current status on Google — call and reconfirm (if you can even reach them) or...

I want to tell you about the dishes, I know Indian cuisine very well and often cook myself, I thought that the new place would please me, but I was saddened by my experience, I like spicy cuisine, not very spicy, I ordered Paneer Tika Masalla, there was so little cheese in the portion I ate one gravy, asked to make it not spicy, but it was all in vain, the food was very spicy, even the Raita soup was made terribly spicy, what can we say about the vegetable salad, it was covered with chili, that when I opened the package at home, I was surprised, because I had eaten three times I repeated the request and they assured me that they would make it spicy, not spicy! I will say about the paratha that it was not tasty at all and was overcooked! I also didn’t find any paneer in it; my order took exactly 40 minutes to prepare, which was also not so pleasing! I think I won't order food from this...

The food was amazing. Taste of authenticity, fresh flavours that do not drown the vegetables, but enhance both the spices and the vegetables.. The best bhindi masala ever and omg the fresh chapattis.. we could have eaten many more 😋🤤. Hubby had aloo gobi and yet again amazing flavours. The portions were big, we could have shared, but we had masala papad 🤤 and then straight onto the mains. The chapattis were freshly made to order and spread with desi ghee.. we had to control Ourselves 😅.

Service was great, Sandeep was very friendly and ensured we enjoyed. The best bit for us was that the vegetables were fresh we could taste the home cooking..Sandeep and the chef did an amazing job.

I would not hesitate to go back again the following day and the day after and the day after if we were staying...
