If you are a guest of the hotel this restaurant is based in you might have a better experience, as it definitely felt as though hotel guests were prioritised here. This is clear from the street entry way where the steps need a good clean versus the beautiful hotel lobby entrance. There are other restaurants on this street that take more pride in their exterior and they are arguably not as fancy.

I visited on two occasions in case I caught the staff on an off day on my initial visit but found the service and lack of attention to detail disappointing both times.

On both occasions we found that hotel guests seated after us received their meals before us. Although this could be due to the slow service from wait staff. We received entrées and bread while we waited on both occasions. It would have been nice to be told what these were. We enjoyed them on the first visit but on the second visit I only received half of my entrées (it appeared to be salmon in pastry but without the pastry). The bread was fine but we had to ask for plates as it was served with oil and none were given to us.

On my first visit I ordered pizza, it was tasty but had far too much rucola. On my second visit I ordered the pork belly. The pork belly was bland and overcooked; the boiled potatoes were dry; the spinach was too salty and too garlicky; the star of anise sauce was just gravy. Very disappointing. I would have spoken directly to the staff, however no one returned to check on us and even as we paid (my plate still with half the food remaining), no one asked.

Overall the service was slow and impersonal. I didn’t enjoy my meals but my party can vouch for the pasta, namely the bolognese and...

We ordered everything together and each item came out one at a time. Two entrees first which were quite cold. Then about 15 minutes later, two more entrees. Then maybe 5 minutes later the appetizers! Everything so far has come out cold or lukewarm. About 45 minutes from the initial entrees came the pizza after asking for it about 4 different times. If we were eating family style, this service would have been fine. We each got our own entree. One person eating and the others just watching them eat.

Staff lied to management and said they told us upon ordering the pizza orders are backed up about an hour. No staff mentioned any back up. When we looked around, everyone who ordered a pizza with other food had their food come out together not individually.

Taste: 1/5. Under seasoned, very bland.

Management: needs to be retrained. He does not know how to manage a restaurant, he lacks the ability to problem solve, he just sat in the corner.

I would never recommend this place to tourists in nearby hotels, at the Nico Hotel, or even locals....

We've been to this restaurant 3 times, the first 2 were good experiences, but the the 3rd so bad and systemically flawed that I felt compelled to warn others. I'll keep it brief; going to the restaurant with 2 young kids we had to wait nearly an hour for the starter and the kids meals, then nearly an hour again for our mains. We'd finished our bottle of wine (which are all really expensive in Bali) before our mains arrived and suggested that a complimentary glass of wine would help with the wait, we were refused. After a long wait to speak to the manager about the experience, I found him unapologetic and unable/unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation. Looking round the restaurant all we heard we're unhappy rumblings, I don't know what went wrong for them tonight, but their management were unskilled to deal with it. If you go on a night like this, expect to feel you've...

Fantastico! When I stop at an Italian restaurant far away, I no longer expect much. I'm happy if the schiuma on my cappuccino isn't millimetre-thin. I was pleasantly surprised by Giorgio Bali. I ordered the smallest menu. There was a nice Ameuse Geul, the oil and the real balsamic vinegar with the salad were very good (...but with a salt shaker and pepper mill, please). The lasagna as the main course was a little ketchup-heavy, but wonderfully hot. The tiramisu was a real surprise, typically Italian and not too sweet. I can also highly recommend the open red wine. Conclusion: I'll be back tomorrow.

Not sure why the place received negative reviews. Visited it yesterday (Monday) and had a great time. Welcome antipasti with assorted breads, pizzas came fast, tasted amazing, Indonesian black rice pudding dessert was especially good. Prices are reasonable, also not sure why someone wrote it was the most expensive pizza in his/her life: payed 537k Rp with 10% service fee and 11% tax for 2 Cokes, 1 Bintang beer, 2 pizzas and the dessert. (Consider this is a restaurant of a 5* hotel.) Maybe service can slow down if there are a lot of people, but this time it was truly lightning fast. Recommended.
