HATIKU Jimbaran — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

We had a amazing time in Bali, met many lovely local people and had lots of delicious food and this is the worse ever experience I had in Bali. I wish I never went to this place.

Please also don't make it sound better by saying these poorly made food are "poor Balinese are blessed to eat", you are doing business and customers deserve better service for their pay too. Very disappointed with everything. We waited for over one hour for the food and the food was very poorly made. The seafood was not fresh and they were skinny (crab and clam) which compromised the flavour completely. We did not taste anything nice other than the sauce. Kids ordered chicken curry as the seafood was bad, however, the curry was even worse - completely watery with dry chicken pieces inside. I refused to pay for this disgusting food after all. We were supposed to get 4 fruits for the sets but waitress insisted we only have 2, in the end they had to provide 2 more….one staff was very impatient as well.

Really wanted to like this after reading the reviews and craving for some grilled seafood, but unfortunately not all was good. First off, if you're seated outside, the atmosphere would be awesome if you're looking for a sea view and going for the sunset, which we were. However, you're then at the mercy of the weather and other patrons. Unfortunately, it was quite cloudy when we dined, so we didn't really catch the sunset. There were also smokers at the table right next to us, which made the experience worse than it could've been. Lastly, it started raining soon after we ordered, so I had to rush in to grab a table for my large family, which fortunately I did, but that meant no more sea view. Food wise, we got the Jimbaran seafood platter for 4, which came with fish, regular prawns, crab, vegetables, clams, satay, and 4 drinks from the tea section. We added 200g salted egg tiger prawns (3 prawns) and 500g garlic butter clams. The fish was very good, but the rest were not that great. Regular prawns were quite powdery but the tiger prawns were good. Vegetables were quite tasteless. Crab was hard to deshell without the proper utensils.

Service was good, but you could see the staff is very busy so it takes a while to get their attention. Had to make multiple request for things such as baby chair and cutlery. At the end of our dinner, some buskers came in and took song requests, which while tacky, was also entertaining.

The entrance of the restaurant was also extremely smoky, which we had to travel through to reach...

I came here with my friend (just the 2 of us). Eventho this place is at the end of Jimbaran Seafood area at Muaya beach, but I think this place is one of the best among others. Reasonable price (and frankly quite cheaper than others). I order a lot of of food (as u can see on receipt) and it's surprise us. The food that we order enough to feed 3 people (4 max if you are not a big eater) and this order already include rice, tumis kangkung and fruits, free as in complimentary when you order their seafood menu. They are not stingy for the complimentary. The rice & veggies that they serve enough for 3 person although we already told them to serve for 2 person. I think they serve it based on how many people on the table and also how many menu that you ordered. The place is clean, the staff are super friendly and nice (love them) and the taste of the foods itself are tasty. If they keep their standard as it is now, I won't hesitate to recommend this place for everyone to try it. No worries, you still get the beach view perfectly fine. It is at the end of the seafood resto chain, but because it's at the end, you'll get fewer crowd, so you can enjoy the beach view without too much people in your photos 😂 check their IG @hatikujimbaran if you want to see place and the foods.
