It’s located at long stretch of seafood restaurants at Jimbaran beach. The restaurant is located at the cheaper end of the stretch with smaller adjoining shops compared to the big standalone shops at the other side
They supposed to have indoor seating but during jun’25 there’s construction ongoing that there’s only seating right at the beach and you have to walk through wooden planks to get there.
Otherwise the ambience at the beach is quite nice with the sea waves sound, fireworks from afar and other shops having live band. Quite local feel though it’s all catered to tourist
The seafoood is quite nice and relatively fresh. Had the 400k package which is good portion for 2-3
The fish is quite fresh with no fishy taste and the meat is tender. It’s a simple grilled style and would have been perfect if the meat has natural sweetness. But can’t complain for the price.
The clams and prawns are cooked in Balinese sauce which is abit like more savoury tomato sauce. While the prawns are not fishy but it’s slightly mushy n stick to the prawns. It’s can eat but I’m very particular with seafood freshness. The clams also slightly fishy
The best for me is the crispy fried prawns. Their batter taste almost like kfc fried chicken so it’s very addictive. The prawns weee whole and fresh too
Their crispy fried calamari also uses the same batter but the prawns taste nicer
All packages comes with rice, vegetables and fruits. I like the vegetable like stirred fried Kang Kong and it has a nice sauce to it but it’s served cold
The service is also very good and staff very friendly
Recommend to come try it you looking for more local beachy feel, value for money seafood that’s not fishy and...
Read moreWe visited Lia Cafe everytime when we are in Bali, we used to enjoyed their food & service at a very reasonable price, but our recent trip there isn't a good one. First we are treated very rudely by one of the staff (the only spec wearing guy there), just because we didn't have a reservation, he chased us away from a table at the front row, stating the table are reserved but there aren't any signs on the table stated it's reserved, refused to help us to find a free table as we didn't know which are reserved, and we had to get help from another waiter in the shop, which is a lot more friendly. The set menu aren't cheap anymore, it's used to be very affordable for a seafood set meal, but the price increase due to popularity make it isn't the case anymore. Lastly, the grilled fish (sea bass) they served us, isn't fresh at all, it's mushy & uneatable, complaint to the waiter, and they just say sorry claiming the fish is from the supplier and they can't do anything, and there it is, the last straw, this will be the very last time we step...
Read moreI am a foodie and wanted to go to Lia Cafe after reading all the good reviews. I was staying in Kuta. Until my last day in Bali, I didn't realize that this place was just 20min away from my hotel. Our flight was at 9pm, we went to Uluwatu temple for sunset and on our way back to the airport is the only time left for me and my partner to try this amazing food. We didn't have time to dine-in. So we decided to do a take away at 7pm. We ordered 500g fresh prawns and a fish to cook. The wait was about 15min. We tried the food in our vehicle on the way. It was all worth the risk. The fish was grilled with a fine marination, cooked to tender. Prawns were batter fried. Both dishes were so good. I am not a big fan of fish. But the grilled fish was very flavorful, which made me eat more than I usually do. They also gave some complimentary green salad, sambol, rice and fruits. The price is very cheap comparing to other places I tried and the taste is outstanding. We will surely go to this place when we...
