Warung Ramayana Ikan Bakar Jimbaran is a popular seafood restaurant located in Jimbaran, Bali. The restaurant is known for its fresh seafood, which is grilled over an open flame. I visited Warung Ramayana with my family recently, and we were all very impressed with the food.
We ordered the ikan bakar (grilled fish), the prawns, and the clams. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the prawns were juicy and flavorful. The clams were also delicious, and they had a nice, crispy exterior. We also enjoyed the view of the beach from the restaurant.
The only two downsides to Warung Ramayana were the poor lighting and the fact that the prices do not include tax. The lighting was poor if you were sitting closer to the sea. This made it difficult to see your food.
Overall, we had a great experience at Warung Ramayana. The food was delicious, the view was beautiful, and the service was friendly. However, I would recommend sitting further away from the sea if you want better lighting.
Here are some pros and cons of Warung Ramayana Ikan Bakar Jimbaran:

Read moreI live here in Bali and I am married to a Balinese girl. We have been regulars here and constantly send friends and groups here while they are on vacation. Recently we experienced bad service and discrimination on my birthday. We arrived at 5pm and asked if we can sit in the front for sunset and Pak Nyoman (I think that’s his name) said all the tables are reserved. We kindly sat at another table and for one hour the Bapak waiter invited foreigners to sit at the front tables as they walked by. A few families declined and sat at the next restaurant. We asked the bapak waiter if the tables are reserved and he said yes they are reserved. We asked him why he was inviting foreigners to sit at the tables when they are already reserved. The bapak continue to ignore us while we kindly ask to sit up front for sunset. The bapak continued to invite foreigners to sit at the tables and even moved tables up front. I felt the bapak was discriminating and we felt very disappointed. I have lived in Indonesia for 7 years and I have never experienced serviced like we did from these male waiters. We will never come back and will encourage our regular visitors to...
Read moreThe day we came, it was full pack with people, contrast to other restaurant around. The lady (perhaps the owner) was very nice, she welcomed us and ask whether we would like to wait while she tries to looked if there is any table available. And we finally got one, and she took us directly to the table.
The food was okay, nothing special. We ordered 2 baked fish (1 portion using black sauce/kecap manis) fot kids and another one using their own Bali spices recipe and fried calamari. They served steamed rice, 1 small portion of water spinach and sliced fruits. Including 1 orqnge juice and 1 coconut drink, it only cost us 275k IDR.
Two thumbs-up for the service (there was incident with one group of guest, but for me they manage it very well) but okayblah for the food.
The location is nice, you can see it from all photos around. But, for you who brings your own car, please be patience because when in peak season, rhe parking space is difficult and the road is one-way. So yes, it was challenging for us...
