Mr Bob Bar and Grill Nusadua ( Main Restaurant) — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

We have just come back from Bali after an 11 Day trip in Jan 2025. We stayed in Nusa Dua and frequented Mr Bob on at least 6 occasions (maybe one or 2 more). We were familiar with this place as it has been our go-to dinner venue over the last few years. We discovered this place Pre COVID and have kept going there as the place is fantastic, and nothing has changed on our most recent trip. We were looked after by a young man named Yasa, who was absolutely brilliant!! Yasa was polite, attentive, and very accomodating with any special requests we had. The venue has a Koi pond, which our kids absolutely loved feeding the fish, there is both indoor and outdoor(air conditioned) and outside (undercover) seating, bands on certain nights, and a complimentary pick up and drop off service from your hotel, which came in clutch on some of the rainy nights. They also have a small onsite bottle shop with a number of spirits and Australian wines which you can also buy at fairly reasonable prices. The food is delicious and there is a good mix of local and Western cuisine, my favourites were the tenderloin steak and satay chicken skewers, whilst my wife enjoyed the carbonara pasta, and the kids loved the burgers. Whilst we tried other places in the vicinity, we would typically go back the next evening as nothing would really compare, it is just that good. Good food, reasonable prices, and great staff.

On our last day, my son developed an ear ache, so I headed down the street to the local chemist to pick up some medication for him. As I was walking past Mr Bob, Yasa saw me and came running out, and asked if we would be dining there that evening. I explained we were leaving Bali in a couple of hours, however my son was not feeling well, and that I had to find a Chemist. Yasa was so concerned about Max (my son) he escorted me to the chemist, waited till I bought what I needed and the went and grabbed his scooter and drove me back to the hotel. What an absolute superstar, this was not something I asked for, or something that he expected to be paid for, it was just out of genuine concern for Max who he had gotten to know over the last 11 days, just a fantastic human being.

Normally, I would write a long review for a fantastic restaurant, but for Mr. Bob’s in Nusa Dua, I could sum it up with just one word: sophisticated, superior, magnificent, stupendous, or awesome—I just can't decide which word fits best! I recently dined there and had an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, with each dish bursting with fresh flavors and expertly prepared. Whether you're craving traditional Indonesian dishes or something with a modern twist, their menu has something for everyone. The atmosphere was equally impressive—warm, inviting, and perfectly balanced between casual and elegant. It’s the ideal spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. You can truly relax while enjoying your meal in such a welcoming setting. The service? Impeccable. The waitresses were attentive, polite, and made sure we were well taken care of without being intrusive. What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth, hospitality, cold towels and complimentary snack / drink that set the tone for the entire evening. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant with great music.

The food - absolutely amazing! Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh and showcased the chef's skill and creativity.

But what truly sets this restaurant apart is the impeccable service. The staff (and particularly Liya) who went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, taking the time to learn our names, ensuring we were satisfied with our meals & even going so far to surprise us with a thank you cake! Again a big thank you to Liya for our many great meals!

Dining here was an absolute delight from start to finish. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable meal, this establishment exceeds expectations in every way. I cannot recommend it highly enough and we cannot wait to go back- five...
