A budget cost but far from budget service, facilities and location. Outside the front is the busiest most reckless walking experience you can find. Taxis, bikes, vans and any number of mechanised modes of transport. The real busy experience. Plenty of shops minimarkets, money changers, restaurants and life going on. It is not pristine by any imagination though. The hotel itself is set back from the road with a magnificent open lobby and the kindest smart and helpful reception staff. Taxis can be booked from here and prices guaranteed before the journey starts. It's a big place with a 100+ rooms set out over four floors. Clean corridors and well kept lobbies everywhere. Our room on the fourth floor has a 7 foot wide bed, air con that really works and an ensuite shower. The cleaner does a great job of making it feel like it's the first time you've arrived whenever we come back to the room in the evening. There is a fridge, free safe with your own combination, hanging space and drawers / cupboards. The full width curtains keep the cool air in and the light, sounds and heat from outside, out. The huge 25 meter pool is beautiful. Not sure what the temperature is but whenever you get in you can't feel the water. Be careful though, it is so relaxing, two hours can go by just floating around and that's a lot of time under the sun. I guess the deep end is 5 foot deep and the shallow end, 3. There is a 2 foot deep 'kiddies' pool at the end for younger children and babies. Sun Loungers are positioned around the edge and I guess if it was really busy, they would be at premium, however there were more than enough at his time of year (end of Oct / beginning of Nov). The restaurant alongside is well kept and service is available throughout the day and offers the usual local fare at reasonably comparable prices (all of which are very much less than anywhere back home). Room service also available. The pool area leads right out on to the beach. The sand is clean and the water shallow right out to the sand bar about 100 meters out. Walking along the beach there is one more hotel to the left (a lovely bar beachside) before it become a bit of a wilderness. Going to the right is about a mile if high end hotels with pools, bars, raised pergola seating areas, water sports venues, at least two beach volleyball courts. Hey skis, boat trip opportunities, everything you could want. All the beach frontages are cleaned and brushed daily by numerous people always working as hard as the temperature allows. That said, and this is my only reservation about this wonderful place, between the hotels and beside the path is land that is not cultivated. It is a repository for all the plastic bottles and rubbish washed up or blown in. Holiday makers are not a good contributory factor to keeping the island clean. It's clear that no-one has a responsibility for these areas and no on does anything to keep them clean. The beach itself doesn't offer a lot of snorkelling opportunities for 'larger' sea life, but there is a lot of smaller, just as interesting things if you look carefully. A shell collectors dream Scape. Get up early to witness the coolest part of the day, bit in temperature and to see the sun rise over millpond smooth sea. Just exceptional. I still haven't worked out if tipping is expected. Some service providers loiter but it may well be simply because they are checking that I am completely satisfied and happy. I have tipped occasionally and none are declined but I'm not sure it is expected. The bird life if terrific with some tremendous warbling from the wonderfully named 'yellow vented bul-bul' early in the morning. It's my first time here and I am definitely NOT disappointed. I would recommend it for all groups but not if you can't...

It saddens me to have to leave this feedback but feel it is important for potential guests to know.

This venue is fasly advertised.

The beach shot is photoshopped. There are no umbrellas and the beach is dirty, no one was swimming in it with good reason. There is no bar as advertised with a barman shaking cocktails, its the excact opposite. The bar area is run down and simply depressing to stare at The venue is not clean. This is the main reason I am leaving this review. You cannot advertise a venue as 5 star and then provide your guests mediocre hygiene. Our bathroom had a mouldy shower curtain, the toilet roll holders were gross, the cups provided for tea or coffee in the room were not clean. They provided hand sanitizer at the lift and the bottle was filthy defeating the purpose of touching the handle to sterilise. The restaurant food is poor, all of it. Again dirty cuttlery, plates and saucers. Place mats on the table were absolutely disgusting. I was too scared to touch the coffee plunger handle and the tea plunger had things floating in it. The pool was the only highlight of this venue but sadly there were also issues here. There was barely any service and absolutely no atmosphere. No one walks around offering you drinks. You have to walk to the restaurant to order and the staff never had change to give you, it was unorganised. You eventually got your drinks however one day we had 4 beers over a 5 hour period and not one empty bottle had been collected during this time. We constantly had to ask for new towels as there were none available.

A summary. The overall experience was depressing. The staff don't look happy and there is little to no atmosphere. There is no music, the service isn't that great but I get the sense this is not due to staff which is the reason I'm leaving the review.

This starts at the top, either the owner or the manger running the venue doesn't care enough to create a positive culture for its staff which is then passed onto the guest.

My review is not isolated, there are many similar reviews and it appears there are no lessons learned to improve.

This place has a lot of potential but food, hygiene, atmosphere, customer service and experience need massive improvement.

We sadly checked out early and paid to stay at another venue throwing...

My recent stay at Bali Relaxing Resort had its ups and downs. Upon arriving at the hotel around 11pm, we could not find any bars, restaurant or shop to grab something to drink after a full day of travel. The location of the hotel was fantastic, situated near the beach with stunning ocean views, but the resort’s beachfront area was poorly maintained and washed up with litter. Saying that, the location provided for a wide variety of restaurants and nightlife activities, all within walking distance hotel. The resort grounds were beautifully landscaped, providing a serene and tropical atmosphere. However, I found the rooms to be a bit outdated and in desperate need of renovation, especially the basics such as linen and towels. The furnishings were worn, and the bathroom facilities were not up to par.

On the positive side, the resort staff was very friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of dishes, but the quality could have been improved. One major drawback was the lack of soundproofing, as I could hear noise from adjacent rooms and the hallway, but despite these shortcomings, the resort had a lovely pool area with comfortable loungers, perfect for relaxation. On check-out day, they were very accommodating by giving us full access to all resort facilities, even storing our luggage, as we spend the last day in Bali waiting for a flight at 11:50pm. If you are looking for a relaxed and comfortable stay in Bali, you will find it here, in the heart...

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in Bali. While I found Bali to be very clean and the people incredibly warm and welcoming, this hotel was a complete exception. The rooms were dirty, the bathroom was extremely small, and the shower drain was clogged. I even developed rashes after sleeping on the bed. The hair dryer provided was covered in dust—looked like it was pulled straight from a garbage bin. Immediately after checking in, I informed the staff that I wanted to cancel the booking. Since the booking app mentioned a one-day charge would still apply, I asked the reception if I could at least stay for one night since I was already being charged. Initially, they agreed. But as soon as I canceled through the app, their behavior changed completely—they demanded I pay again if I wanted to stay, despite the one-day charge already being deducted. They claimed the cancellation fee would go to the booking app, not the hotel. As it was late at night, I had no choice but to pay again and stay. The next day, I contacted the booking app’s customer care, and they clarified that the cancellation fee actually goes to the hotel. So the staff had blatantly lied to me. This experience shows the true credibility of this hotel—completely dishonest. I strongly do not recommend this place. The staff are unfriendly, and the overall environment is filled with negativity.
