New Meads — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

Made a last minute reservation using Chope & there was a free pick up & drop off, so we were excited. Pick up was fairly on time, so we were pleased. But by the end of our meal our sentiments were... Not the same to say the least.

We were overcharged twice in the most mathematically nonsensical way possible. Everything itemised was correct EXCEPT the veggie burger which had no quantity on the left hand column (unlike everything else) & the price on the right hand side was the price of TWO veggie burgers, when we only ordered one.

Told them to rectify it, & they did - so now the itemised price of the veggie burger was correct, but the subtotal was still the OLD subtotal, ie they were trying to make us pay the same overcharged amount (ie for 2 veggie burgers).

Very very fishy. But in the end it was all good cos we can count & stuff & we made sure the bill was entirely 100% correct.

Because of this, we won't be in a hurry to return. I mean, the beef & lamb burgers were delicious & juicy... But their billing system feels dodgy.

Also, traffic was really bad on the way back to our hotel (not their fault) that we got off the free transport halfway & walked the remaining 1km back 😂

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Meads Restaurant in Nusa Dua, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! From the moment we set foot into the restaurant until the last our last drink, Meads surpassed all my expectations. We chose Meads because of the fact that we enjoy watching NRL and could do so with fellow supporters, creating a very cozy and warm atmosphere. The staff was amazingly attentive and welcoming, delightful selection of cocktails and a great menu with a wide variety of local and international cuisine, that was presented beautifully and enjoyed by all.

One aspect that sets Meads apart from other restaurants is their complimentary transfer service to and from your hotel. This thoughtful gesture not only ensures convenience for guests but also showcases their commitment to providing a seamless and hassle-free dining experience. It was such a relieve to not have to walk all the way back to our hotel, but rather be dropped by an experience driver in some chaotic traffic.

The restaurant itself exudes an elegant and cozy atmosphere, with tastefully designed interiors and a delightful outdoor seating area. I would like to thank all the friendly personal at Meads for providing a very authentic and truly amazing Nusa Dua...

So disappointed with Meads after all the hype. We all come here to eat Surf and Turf Australian tenderloin meat. It was meant to melt in your mouth. Not one of us had a good piece of meat. They were all very different small sizes of overcooked chewy meat, I suppose I should have known better as the menu didn't mention a size.

My wife's meat was almost well done and tiny, but she put up with it. Mine was medium to well done and chewy, etc I sent mine back, and the second piece was bigger but worse, cooked too quickly and on a top hot surface so it was dark grey abs dry on the edges raw in the middle.

We all complained to the staff who seemed to panic about the situation and gave us men a couple of free BingTang's, and cocktails for the ladies as compensation.

So, to be fair, everything else we had was ok, and my wife really enjoyed her banana fritter!

The worst part was that we had the same meat at a BBQ night at half the price with a full buffet at the Peninsula Bay resort, and it was perfect! It really does melt in your mouth when fresh and cooked properly...
