Warning – Severe Food Poisoning After Pizza Margherita!

I normally don’t write reviews, but after five days of battling a serious food poisoning, I feel I need to warn others. I’ve been living in Bali for four years, and I’ve eaten just about everything here — but never in my life have I been hit this hard after a meal.

All I had that day was water and one Bintang Radler, and then this Margherita pizza. A few hours later, it started: cramps, nausea, diarrhea, and a constant burning pain in my stomach. It’s now been five days, I’m still not fully recovered, and I’ve already had to take two rounds of antibiotics and visit the hospital.

My son had the fried calamari, and he also vomited right after eating — luckily his stomach settled again, but mine didn’t. Something in that kitchen is clearly not being handled or checked properly.

I’m not writing this out of anger, but because this is a serious health issue and the restaurant should really take responsibility and review their hygiene and food...

Unfortunately for us the only good thing about this place is the beautiful Balinese people that work here. The food was not good at all. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes.

I had the whole duck plate and i have no idea why the duck comes out cold, like can’t you make it fresh? And where’s the sauce? There’s just 3 tiny bowls of 3 different chilli sauces. The rice was dry and this meal was very hard to eat. The duck had hardly any meat on it and to make matters worse it was deep fried to the absolute Maximum meaning it was a dry as an old boot. My daughter had the honey prawns, which ironically also came out cold. Not very happy about our experience here and after seeing the prices then the +++ taxes things definitely a tourist trap 100%.

So many good reviews and decided to check it out myself. Ordered Grilled fish that comes with rice and cooked vegetables. Impressed with how fresh the fish was and eaten with sambal that was provided, the taste was super good. All the staff are friendly and service excellent, in particular, Ms Wayan. I complained the coconut has no flesh in the fruit, they changed immediately without question. As it turned out, the fruit was very young. Overall experience was excellent the meal was...
