I stayed over July 2024 7 days. Booked the garden view room, recommend adding breakfast to your stay. The breakfast is international cuisine very tasty & hits different pallete options. The masala Chai made my day great way to begin. There was 3 restaurants to switch breakfast throughout the stay with deffering ambience.

The hotel has enough activities to keep you busy. Water sports, perfumery, dessert making class, retail shopping, some kids swimming inflatables, photography studio. 2 main pools with great poolside service & nice menu. Very clean furniture all around hotel, indoor & outdoor.

My room was spacious & could be comfortable for upto 2 people. You can squish more, it would be... Squishy. Housekeeping is super helpful you can requested what you need and they are more than happy to help. Sutarsa was lovely, I met him in my stay a great housekeeper, always checking if the room needs anything & open to feedback. No Netflix or YouTube in my room. The suites do have Netflix & YouTube. Discuss getting grand lounge access, they have yummy foods, international options daily. One day Italian, one day Balinese etc.

The overall grounds are scenic, clean, all staff you walk by are very pleasant & welcoming. The hotel is on the beach. The beach is very breathtaking, with trees lining the sand & comfy chairs all around the beach.

The pools are lovely, I recommend a waterproof camera, the pools are scenic & I wanted to take some shots in there. There is a cave like pool which is my favorite, it's kid friendly.

They have currency exchange & atm on site. Hotel is 10min walk to large retail shopping/massage/dining mall - Bali Collection. If you have time to grab a taxi 30min drive to Krishna shopping Centre it has a large variety of touristy gifts like mango infused coffee! The drive is lovely.

I also visited an orphanage with beautiful kids - Panti Asuhan Adzkiyah Alkhair. The kids enjoyed spending time with me, they welcome drop ins. They appreciate monetary donation. I gave the teenage boys & girls flowers, perfumes, moisturizing creams & face masks. They loved it. The toddlers liked crayons & toys, biscuits & pastries & chips. The infant enjoyed lots of cuddles. Highly recommend a trip here the Centre is welcoming & lovely.

The photo studio was great, they give you 45 min Photoshoot time. I had the locations in mind coupled with Wayan the photographers ideas. He has a great attitude, super helpful. At the end I felt so happy with the results. They work with you to edit, customer service is so helpful & on the ball in getting back to you. Awaiting my album to be shipped takes 45 days. I recommend you book with a few days before you leave to receive the soft copy with time for you to speak with them if you need edits, want more photos etc.

The dessert making class was fun, Chef Adinda is a great host, her knowledge was great and I produced fantastic tasty dessert under her tutelage. You can book day before.

I recommend a surfing class, it is so much fun, there's mandarin like fruits that fall into the beach, a tasty treat! You can book day before.

The performance dinner of Sengoll Pasar is fantastic - a must do. Performance is riveting. Food buffet style is very delicious, large variety. A family affair full of fun! The merchants outside of this dinner have great gifts for back home including wind chimes, fans & bracelets. The wood engraver can make images on request with 24 hour notice. He made me a full colour beach scene on a heart shaped wood was so pretty.

Room service menu is nice. Tasty, I really liked the mi goreng, the chicken skewers & beef cheeseburger. The juices were delicious.

Go for a walk along the beach there is a great Japanese restaurant just opened recently, fantastic food, staff & head chef. You can get a massage on the beach just out of the hotel!

Finally the merchants along the beach are so lovely, I purchased my touristy gifts from them. The kites are so much fun as the beach has great winds. The bags & shell jewelry bowls were a hit with the family....

It was a very unpleasant experience to stay at the Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua. I had a terrible experience, not only with the facilities, but also with the staff - not all of them, but there is much room for improvement.

It all started with my arrival. It is indeed my first time staying here. When I arrived, I immediately went to the check-in counter as directed. Later in front of the check-in desks, there was only one other person in line ahead of me. Then a staff approached me and asked my name. When she discovered that I was an explorist member, I was directed to a special counter, which was unfortunately in the opposite direction from where I was queuing - and to make matters worse, the location of my room turned out to be closer to the regular check-in counter than to the special counter. Why wasn't it simpler to direct me to the regular check-in counter from the start?

The second inconvenience occurred in the afternoon when the water abruptly cut out without warning. At the time, I was washing my face while my roommate pooped. The sudden water outage meant that I couldn't wash off the soap and my roommate couldn't clean himself. When I called the receptionist, the response/handling was extremely slow. I had to clean my face using drinking water and planned to leave the room to directly report - and it was far away to the receptionist desk. It turned out that a technician was fixing a water pipe in the next room, so the water system in the rooms along the hallway was turned off. Why didn't the technician check to see if anyone was in the next room? Why didn't the receptionist or room service immediately respond to the issue? A sudden water outage is an urgent situation.

Another water-related inconvenience was that when I opened the bathtub the night I returned from dinner, the water was yellow; and sandy in the sink - I have photos of this yellowish and dirty water.

Fourth, wi-fi in the Grand Club is extremely unreliable and frequently disconnected.

Fifth, there were only few tissues in the room. Even I only used it to wipe my mouth at lunch and clean my face in the afternoon. Is there no standard operating procedure for filling tissues while cleaning the room?

Later in the evening, I was extremely disappointed with the buggy service - which I'm not sure if it was due to the fact that I was a local staying there rather than a white tourist. When I returned from walking around the Bali Collection area in front of the hotel at around 8:15 p.m., my friend and I wanted to ride the buggy that was waiting at the front gate. At the time, a family had already boarded, and there were two open seats that would have been ideal for us to ride. However, the buggy driver refused to let me on and told me to wait - I knew the waiting time for each buggy car was every 20 minutes, so I chose to walk to the lobby. This action was not only unfortunate, but also disrespectful, and I could report Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua or even sue under the racial and ethnic discrimination laws. Grand Hyatt Nusa Dua needs to learn to be more respectful of all guests or visitors.

Finally, the checkout procedure was terrible. Although it was a quick process, unlike when checking in, there was no greeting or friendliness.

On a positive note, the Grand Club staff were very kind and accommodating. The level of cleanliness in every single facility is also excellent.

I realise that to stay here, I was only using my points, but the experience I got was far from...

We are currently staying at the Grand Hyatt Bali and have been extremely disappointed.

Charged double for breakfast for the same number of people (two kids, two adults) My brother in law booked our rooms. For his room he was charged half the price for breakfast for him and his two kids than my family. We questioned it many times with him at check in and the staff did not understand how unfair it was that one family with two adults and two children were charged double the amount for breakfast than the other family because my family had decided to pay for an interconnecting room.

Our rooms have been disgusting and are in severe need of renovation, not worth what we paid for them. The resort needs to be photographed showing how dated and worn out the rooms are.

I tried calling the staff twice, tried contacting via Grand Hyatt website and then emailed last night. I tried talking to the staff today about the issues. We were offered another dated room today that was just as bad. There are no native English speakers working at the resort and it is difficult to try and say what my issue is as they do not understand that this is our first family holiday overseas and we have saved so hard for it and it is so disappointing that the resort is so expensive but not actually nice or what was advertised. I feel repulsed to stay here.

-three lights didn’t work (one has been repaired and two are still broken) -the air con vents were all dirty with black mould shower has not been cleaned properly and it has a lot of black mould -the bathroom is very worn out: broken tiles, looks dirty, chipped sink, damaged floor drain, black mouldy grout in shower, mirror that is so water damaged it is crumbling, dust on shelves and wooden shutters -there was a blocked drain in the bath (resolved today) -the picture in the room had mould all through (resolved today). -by the left side of the bed the wooden floor is badly damaged (water damaged?) and dirty black dust gets stuck on your feet. I kept thinking the floors do not get cleaned but realised today the floor is damaged and crumbling.

We were charged over $4000 AUD for our short stay (Tuesday 15 July - Sunday 20 July) and were tricked by the pictures online that it was a luxury 5 star hotel when the hotel is old and in much need of a large renovation. It’s not a 5 star hotel and is not worth what we have paid for five nights.

-The buildings are old and dated and have a grimy black layer on them and so do the path ways -the floor we are staying have cracked and split wooden pillars all around the building -The swimming pools are dated and have black mould on stones and green mildew -the swimming pools are all deep and there are no graduated swimming pools for younger kids -there are two waterslides at the resort for all the kids but you need a ring to use them and the rings are hard to get -there are only three toilets for the pool for women, this is hard when you have children. -today I tried to purchase two basic popsicles for the kids at the resort and I was charged $14.50 Australian for what would have cost me $4 back home. -today we tried to take out kids to the beach directly outside the front of the resort and there was a lot of rubbish and a dirty nappy

We have small children and it is very hard to get around and the signage at the resort is poor. There is no app to help you and the resort is so large.

I would strongly recommend against this hotel especially with...

The Grand Hyatt, Nusa Dua, Bali I stayed 5 nights in this lovely resort in early June 2024. Location: This large resort style hotel is one of the original Nusa Dua Beach resorts, set on a sprawling beachside location within the Kawasan Wisata Nusa Dua BTDC area of Bali. Check-in and Check-out: Both were quick and easy, although after check-in I found that the size and scope of the resort meant that I would need a map to ensure I found all the resort features available to me during my stay. After moving into my room I returned to the Lobby to get a map. The Lobby: The décor and feel of the lobby, set in the Balinese Water Palace style, made me feel very welcome. The lobby reflects the size of the resort – large, open and friendly. Room Facilities: I chose a King Bed “Club Access” room (#2212) for my stay. The spacious and well-appointed room was in the Eastern (Club) wing of the resort. From my private balcony I had lovely views to the North, overlooking lush tropical gardens featuring a lily pond and a small Balinese temple. The King bed was two (2) king single beds joined together, with a soft mattress topper added by the hotel to make the bed more comfortable. The bathroom was large and functional, with a separate bath and shower. There was also a dressing room next to the WC, with a safe and ample space for luggage and clothing. The only thing missing from the room was a dedicated work desk, but there was a lovely circular shaped table for the coffee machine that I was able to use. The complimentary wi-fi was fast and reliable. Resort Facilities: This large resort has sprawling grounds set over many acres, with 5 outdoor pools, a great health club/ fitness centre featuring an outdoor pool, a good gym, sauna, spa, hot and cold tubs. I used the health club most days and enjoyed long morning walks along the beach front walkways. The Club Lounge: With the Club Room came access to the Club Lounge, located a short distance from my room in the Eastern Wing. The lounge has a wonderful atmosphere. All the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful. They went the “extra mile” to make me feel comfortable and “special”. Breakfast was excellent, with the usual choice of buffet style choices, mixed with specialty stations for pancakes, waffles, bagels and omelets. There was a good selection of fresh fruit, breads, cakes, cold meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and all the usual buffet breakfast favorites. Happy hour at the Club Lounge was actually 2 hours from 5:00 to 7:00pm. There was a vast choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ranging from fruit juice and soft drinks, to wine, spirits and cocktails. The canapes and finger foods during Happy Hour ranged between fantastic and disappointing. I guess in fairness they were catering to a broad range of customers, with some people wanting all types of meat dishes, and others wanting vegetarian options. Some nights vegetarian style food was the only choice. Overall: This spacious, well equipped resort is fantastic for families, couples and singles, but from a Club Lounge perspective, I’d prefer to see families with children segregated from adults without children, but that may prove too difficult. There was a quiet area of the lounge, but that was only 10 meres from a noisy area, so it was a bit pointless.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Bali for six nights on our first visit to Bali, with the all-inclusive dining package. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and felt it offered great value — indulging in delicious food and enjoying the many clean amenities available. The resort is expansive, with plenty of peaceful spots to sit and relax. It never felt crowded or noisy, and the beautiful entrance helps immerse you into the tranquil world of the Grand Hyatt. On arrival, the attendants were helpful and assisted with our luggage while we checked in. While the rooms offer a traditional Balinese feel, they are quite dated and may not meet everyone’s expectations. One of our rooms had a strong damp smell, which was a concern. Fortunately, staff were responsive and quickly arranged an alternative room that met our needs. It was a little disappointing as we were initially given two connecting rooms and ended up split as a group. Also, new guests next door later tried to open the connecting door around midnight, which was quite loud and disruptive. Still, the kindness and professionalism of the staff throughout our stay made up for these issues. The all-inclusive food and drink package was a highlight. We dined at three different restaurants, each with its own unique menu. Nampu was our favourite — a stylish, authentic Japanese restaurant with friendly staff who were happy to chat and offer suggestions. One night, all restaurants were fully booked, but we got to try a new Balinese street-food menu being tested at Pasar Senggol, which was a fun and flavourful surprise. I do wish the cocktail list had more variety or changed between restaurants, but we were still happy to revisit our favourite drinks. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. With Club Access, we enjoyed breakfast at the Veranda privately, which was far more relaxed compared to the other buffet areas. A minor concern was the lack of clear information prior to our stay. It was confusing to understand what the all-inclusive package covered, what Club Access meant, and which activities were available. The front desk clarified everything when we arrived, but it would’ve been more helpful to know beforehand. The fitness centre is small and was already busy when I went at 6am. However, the sauna and spa were easy to access and pleasantly quiet. While not a perfect stay, the overall value, beautiful setting, and above all the incredibly helpful and kind staff made the experience a memorable one. This was my first resort holiday, and I’d gladly recommend the Grand Hyatt Bali to anyone looking for a relaxing escape at great value.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay at the Grand Hyatt Bali – 5 Stars All the Way! We recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Bali to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and from the moment we walked into the grand lobby, we knew we were in for something special. The warmth of the welcome, the stunning architecture, and the calming atmosphere set the tone for what turned out to be the best holiday we’ve ever had. Our room (3252) was absolutely beautiful, with a balcony that offered breathtaking views, a perfect place to start and end each day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and every detail in the room made us feel pampered and relaxed. From the variety of exceptional restaurants offering delicious food and drinks, to the luxury of being waited on poolside while we soaked up the sun, the resort had everything we needed to fully unwind. The staff went above and beyond every single day. Their kindness, dedication, and attention to detail made us feel like royalty, it was as if we were the most important guests in the entire resort. Their hospitality genuinely touched us. Here are a few tips from our stay that might help future guests: Don’t miss the traditional Balinese theatre performance on Thursday nights – it’s an incredible cultural experience and a real highlight of the trip. Wear shoes, sandals, or thongs with grip – the pathways can get very slippery when it rains. Try every restaurant you can – each one has its own charm and specialities, and every meal we had was a delight. Spend at least a couple of days by the pool – simply relax, take a dip, and let the wonderful staff bring you drinks and food right to your lounge chair. Pure bliss. Take time to walk the resort grounds – there are so many tranquil spots to discover and enjoy. Chat with the staff – they’re so friendly and full of knowledge. We learnt so much about local culture just from these lovely conversations. We had such a memorable time that we’re already planning our return. A big thank you to Luxury Escapes as well, they made booking a breeze and always offer fantastic deals. If you’re considering staying at the Grand Hyatt Bali, don’t hesitate. You’ll be treated to a world of comfort, beauty, and genuine hospitality. We can’t recommend it highly enough. 5 stars – without question. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua for such an amazing experience and making Suzannes birthday week such a special one, especially for the flowers left in the room for her on her birthday.
