DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE!
We got there on a Friday night on Sunset for a family dinner and a couple of cocktails.
The first problem arose straight away. The - originally - well rated restaurant on the side of a cliff with an ocean front view DOESN’T SELL ANY COCKTAILS!
Let alone not having cocktails there was nobody else there and no music or atmosphere at all.
I ordered first. The ribs that were on special but got told NO. They can’t do them, they have none left. (Why would they leave it on the specials board if the don’t have it?)
I then went back to the table and decided I would get a chicken parmigiana. Went to order it. “No, we don’t have that either” At this point I was fed up. No cocktails, I’ve ordered twice and they didn’t have what I wanted.
This time I ordered something I didn’t really want but thought I could stomach. They actually had it!! The fact that we were the ONLY PEOPLE in the restaurant at 6pm on Friday and my food still took 30 minutes to get to the table is ridiculous. On top of that the club sandwich looks like someone had put 2 slices of toast around some ingredients and called it a club sandwich. The meal also came with “a side of chips/fries” THERE WAS LITERALLY 5 CHIPS.
That enough about my meal. My parents ordered a couple of curries from this place at the same time I ordered my meal but their meal wasn’t served for AN HOUR AND A HALF AFTER THEY ORDERED.
No restaurant should take that long to make food when we are the only people in the entire restaurant.
My parents food a moth and 2 ants in their food and didn’t want to...
Read moreWe came to Sundara Sunset for golden hour, and the view did not disappoint. It offers a stunning panorama overlooking the beach at sunset. We sat in the upstairs section, which only serves drinks and a few appetizers. The appetizers we tried were hot, tasty, and paired perfectly with the view. The staff was also friendly and attentive.
We hadn’t originally planned to stay for dinner, but decided to since we were already comfortable and enjoying the atmosphere. Because the upstairs doesn’t have a full kitchen, we had to order from the downstairs kitchen on a separate bill.
Unfortunately, the entrees were the low point of the visit. The rib eye steak, in particular, was the most expensive item on the menu but turned out to be tough...
Read moreThey will try and overcharge you. I walked in on my way to the beach and asked for a takeaway black coffee. They charged me 47500, which surprised me but I paid. Then while waiting for the coffee I decided to look at the menu, and surprise surprise the cost of a black coffee is 20000 (single shot) or 30000 (double shot). When I showed this to them they said it was the payment system’s fault I was overcharged and reluctantly gave me what I overpaid...
