Celebrated my wife’s bday here and boy was it a memorable one! First off, the whole place is super pretty and the vibes are off the charts. Nice pool to chill in overlooking the sea. Wasn’t crowded but maybe that’s cuz we were here during off season. Really good music as well. DJ was killing it! As good as a free EDM festival hahah. There was an electric violinist that made guest appearances every now and then. The staff also got in on the action for some songs. Crazy atmosphere! Service is top notch! Everyone had a smile. They were also nice to let us chill at the restaurant first as the sun was too hot for the sunset deck. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very breezy that evening so we retreated back to the restaurant to sit under the strong fans lol. On to the food. Every dish was 10/10 I couldn’t believe it!!! Maybe I’m just good at picking menu items hahah. We really enjoyed all 6 dishes very much (refer to pics and captions). The starters were amazing!! Seafood paella was super well done. And the grilled calamari reminded me of Jimbaran. Highly recommend all of my friends to come to this place the next time they’re in Uluwatu. We didn’t get a nice sunset as the skies were cloudy but that gives us the perfect reason to come back to this awesome restaurant again. Can’t wait!!!

Overall, we really enjoyed this beach club. We had come straight off the plane and they were able to accommodate us without a booking. They were also gracious enough to let us enter and use the pool a bit before opening. As for the food, we loved it! We stuck to an all seafood menu and had no complaints. The hot seafood platter was a favourite! The view is a dream and I can only imagine what it'd look like during sunset! The male staff who tended to us in the lounge were very friendly, responsive and attentive. I specify the male staff because with the exception of the DJ in the bathroom (who was very pleasant), the rest of the female staff weren't as friendly. One example is when we were leaving - all the male staff made sure to greet and smile at us on the way out, but the female staff just kept their head down and didn't say a word despite 3 of them being at the reception area. It's not much to say thank you or goodbye and honestly, it makes a difference especially if they're the last staff you come into contact with. I think that's an easy thing to improve so still recommend this spot.

My honest review of El Kabron, and I want to preface it by saying we went for dinner at the Sunset Theatre. If you want to come for the views, definitely do it. You will be seating right the be ocean on the cliffside, but bare in mind you WILL NOT be able to see the sun set from this section, even though the name suggests you will. We saw a lot of people arriving at their tables and being quite frustrates at the fact that you can’t actually see the sunset. For the minimum spend we had to pay, the service left a LOT to be desired. It took us ages to order, the food was at best average and the cocktails unfortunately were served warm, slightly chilled at best. The whole area felt messy and unorganised (I guess they are focusing on all the patrons having drinks only and spending more money), and we often saw the poor waitresses and waiters struggling to keep up (not to their fault). Kuddos to them for doing the best they could and for always being polite and friendly! As I said, the views are good, but we have by far had much better food and service in Uluwatu for a fraction of the price and El Kabron is not somewhere I would go back to.

The place is nice and has nice ocean views, as well as the food is good. However, today I went and the sweet waitress was taking a picture of me and the bald manager came and snatched my phone from her hand while she was taking a picture of me and said "sorry, she has to work". Not only is it disrespectful towards me as a person, doing that in front of other people, but also to my belongings, and most importantly, the waitress. Literally this is not a dignified way to treat your employees. You can’t just snatch things away from their hands when they’re in the middle of something and send them off to work like they’re children. She’s an adult and she’s being hospitable taking a picture of her customer. This was a terrible experience, not coming back. Bali is known for authentic people and good hospitality, at the end of the day Bali relies on tourism and taking a picture for a customer is completely normal. Nothing crazy there. Just hate the way it looks, the bald old white male mistreating a local female employee. Take the trash out of Bali.

Wow Bali, wow. I had to hop, skip & paraglide (literally) to visit this renowned spot, and it was worth every epic moment. It's far out from Seminyak and traffic is a real struggle, but worth the trek 1000%! From the stunning location + views, to the topnotch wait staff (I had the best gal ever, selfie provided for shoutout :D ) to the DJ skills and the live Sax player WHATTTT! He was phenomenal, the live music was just the cherry on the cake. Try and get there before sunset so you see the beauty before and after, breathtaking. Foodwise, I had the Seafood Paella, it's very rich and flavorful, and I'd get it again. Can't go wrong with the drinks menu either! Note: It's a pricey experience that you won't forget. This is a MUST VISIT status! PS. Shout out to the owners who created this 5 star ambiance, making the entire experience unforgettable. Well done, que experienca! Muchas gracias - till next time. Can't to brag about this spot when I go home to California - it exceeded all expectations. Thank you, El Kabron! See you soon.
