El Kabron offers one of the most picturesque settings in Uluwatu, perched on a cliff with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The venue is visually stunning, particularly during sunset, and the overall design and ambiance are clearly curated to deliver a premium beach club experience.

Unfortunately, we were supposed to arrive at 6pm for sunset but unexpectedly got stuck in a massive 3 hours traffic jam. By the time we got there it was already 830pm and we missed the sunset. Due to the fact that we had paid a deposit of Rp600,000, we decided to go ahead with our plans.

However, while the location is undeniably impressive, the overall experience fell short in several areas.

The menu, focused on Mediterranean and Spanish-inspired cuisine. We ordered their fresh oysters, prawns cocktail, clams cooked in wine and grilled prawns which were beautifully presented but tasted just okay. Nothing special. We also ordered the classic mojito and it tasted like soda water with ice.

Service was courteous but inconsistent—some staff were attentive and engaging, while others seemed preoccupied or unresponsive, which detracted from the premium experience being offered.

It’s important to note that there is a minimum spend depending on the area reserved, ranging from moderate to quite high. Ours was Rp2,000.000. While this is understandable for a venue of this nature, the value delivered does not always align with the cost.

On a Monday night, it was almost empty with only 2-3 tables occupied, including our table. The pool area also had only 2-4 guests, with the DJ playing at the back.

El Kabron Bali excels in atmosphere and setting but falls short on consistency in service and culinary execution. It’s a worthwhile visit for the view and ambiance, but those seeking a refined dining experience may find better value...

If you’re looking for a place in Bali that combines overpriced drinks with a spectacular sunset and an even more pretentious vibe, look no further than El Kabron!

Upon arrival, we were greeted not with warmth but with the news of minimum spend requirements that felt more like a ransom note than a welcome. Apparently, they have tiers of seating based on how much you’re willing to shell out—because nothing says “relaxing vacation” like being financially bullied.

We settled into our table, which was apparently designed by a committee of giraffes and circus clowns, and found ourselves squished in front of a booth that looked like it survived a 1990s rave gone wrong. The view was indeed stunning, making it almost worth the discomfort. Almost.

After a brief moment of trying to enjoy the ambiance—though “ambiance” is a generous term when the music sounded like a blender malfunctioning at a karaoke night—we decided to stretch our legs and take some photos. That’s when we encountered the staff member who must have graduated from the “How to Be Rude 101” course. “Are you done taking pictures?” they asked, as if we were occupying prime real estate and not just trying to capture the sunset. Flabbergasted, we replied, “What?!”

Their response? “Because you’re blocking the view.” Ah, yes, the exclusive view that we somehow thought was a public sunset! With that, we decided to cut our losses. We didn’t even order drinks—thankfully—before making our escape.

So, if you have a taste for extravagant nonsense and enjoy the company of surgically enhanced party-goers dancing to music that could only be described as an auditory disaster, El Kabron is your spot! Just make sure to bring your wallet and your sense of humor. As for us, we’ll take our...

A Cliffside Dream with Unforgettable Flavors

El Kabron Bali isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience that ignites all the senses, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Uluwatu's cliffs. From the moment you arrive, you're enveloped in a vibe that's effortlessly chic yet incredibly relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind and soak in Bali's magic.

Let's talk about the food– it's nothing short of incredible. The Spanish-inspired menu is a masterclass in fresh, vibrant flavors. We indulged in a variety of tapas, each one a delightful explosion for the palate. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, using high-quality ingredients that truly shine.

The drinks menu complements the food beautifully. Their cocktail selection is innovative and refreshing, ideal for sipping as the sun dips below the horizon.

Beyond the culinary delights, the service at El Kabron is exemplary. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm and welcoming. They anticipate your needs and ensure your experience is seamless and enjoyable from start to finish.

And finally, the vibe. Oh, the vibe! Whether you're lounging by the infinity pool, grooving to the DJ's beats, or simply enjoying dinner with the panoramic ocean views, El Kabron exudes an energy that's both sophisticated and utterly blissful. The sunset here is legendary for a reason – it's a spectacle that elevates the entire dining experience to something truly unforgettable.

El Kabron Bali is an absolute must-visit. We can't...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Stunning Sunsets & Sophisticated Vibes – A Must-Visit in Uluwatu” We recently spent an evening at El Kabron and it absolutely exceeded expectations. Perched high on the cliffs of Uluwatu, the views are simply spectacular—easily one of the best sunset spots in Bali. The atmosphere is vibrant yet elegant, making it perfect for those who enjoy a stylish social scene without the over-the-top party crowd. The food was exceptional. We shared a few tapas to start (the mini sliders and octopus were standouts), followed by a beautifully cooked seafood and vegetarian paella. The cocktails were equally impressive—and the sangria was great…. refined and well-balanced, with a creative edge. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of both the food and service justifies it. Music plays a big role here, with live DJs and saxophone accompaniment adding a unique, classy touch to the evening. It does get lively around sunset, but not overwhelmingly so—just the right amount of energy. We’d recommend it for couples, groups of friends, or anyone looking for an upscale beach club experience with a more mature vibe. Tip: book a front-row theatre style sunset table in advance and be prepared for a minimum spend. Dress code is smart-casual, and it’s worth it for the setting alone. Would absolutely return—El Kabron is the perfect blend of atmosphere, cuisine, and view. A highlight of our Bali trip.
