We went 3 times for breakfast. Twice to the rooftop and once to the main restaurant.
The rooftop (Kayu Manis) is also a part of To’Ge restaurant and the experience was INFINITELY better. We were surprised by the attentiveness of the servers at Kayu Manis both times we were there. They pay attention and offer seconds for drinks like coffee when they notice you are done. One of the servers (Theven) even got me a large oat latte after I was done with my first smaller cup as he noticed I enjoyed it, and brought extra straws and teaspoons for yogurt without us asking. The breakfast options are similar, but with less variety than downstairs. Food and pastries are adequate. The view of the ocean is beautiful especially from the outer most seats, would recommend for a relaxing breakfast experience with excellent service. We loved our first breakfast with them so much that our experience at the main restaurant downstairs was downright disappointing and horrendous in comparison.
I would absolutely NOT recommend the main To’Ge restaurant downstairs. Service is subpar and slow because the restaurant is extremely crowded in the morning. The oat latte which I ordered twice (because they missed my first order) was pretty much ALL milk and no coffee. Do not sit near the pool, lots of mosquitoes. There are slightly more options when it comes to food but the whole experience is chaotic due to the number of people and not worth it. I would rate it 1 star if I could review...
Read moreThis place serves great food and has amazing specials that change every month. We had breakfast and dinner here several times and the staff is amazing. Hendra and Nanda Blues are very tallented and make you feel right at home. They speak English with ease and are super friendly. If you ask them, they will teach you some Bahasa and they know a lot of fun things to do around the island. Citra and MD Ani are always happy to help. We had some great conversations with all of them. They are always open during the day. So if you are swimming at the rimba pool and want some ice coffee or a soy cappuccino, you can ask them in the restaurant toge and they will send it to your sunbed. You can also ask Aditya, he manages the pool area and is very kind and tallented. Overall we thougt the Rimba staff was more engaged with the guests than at the main ayana building. We recommend you visit To'ge and the...
Read moreAbsolutely appalled. Went to this highly rated and esteemed hotel for dinner at the To'ge restaurant. Ordered the Bali Pizza and received a FLY baked into the dough of the pizza.
Extremely shocked to have this happen at such a prestigious hotel. Sick to my stomach. I almost didn't notice this, so who's to say what other unhygienic things go unnoticed.
Other dishes came very late as well. All of our party except one had received their food and another was made to wait another 15 minutes.
Once we had made the staff aware of this issue, and after on and on negotiations the restaurant has said they will give us this meal for free. Weak apology and disappointed at the staff's response.
Please do not go here if you value hygienic, and well...
