This was a surprise stop recommended by our tour guide.
Unusual in the sense that you drive into a bay, which is in the middle of the on the restaurant get out of your car, they park your car for you whilst you get shown to your table. This gives an air of sophistication.
Aquariums also line the halls with lobsters waiting to be cooked.
The décor of the restaurant was lovely, the rest rooms where nice and clean.
Our table was right on the beach, facing the sea and we where lucky enough that another party set off some fireworks.
However, when you look past the initial wow factor of the lovely sea views, you the see the dirty table cloths, the cutlery wasn't the cleanest. The menu is only fish based, so no options for any guests within your party that do not eat fish and aeroplanes can be seen taking off and landing every 5 minutes or so.
The food is quite expensive, over a million for the set buffet options, but these still work out cheaper than the ala carte option. You also need to eat inside if you want the ala carte menu.
There was a live band going table to table taking requests and trying to set a romantic feel, they do expect to be tipped if they play a song for you.
We felt quite pressured to order and eat there despite not realising the cost, the tour guide had been lovely to us all day and the waiter was waiting seeming impatient for us to make a decision, despite us only just arriving and being seated. The majority of the staff where friendly enough, though not to the same level as we had experienced elsewhere during our 14 day Bali stay.
We had a buffet for 3, which included rice, fresh fish, crab, lobster, clams, shrimp, calamari, spinach and included 3 bintang's or a bottle of wine.
There are options of sauces that you can have cooked in your fish upon ordering, hot spicy or garlic butter. The food was fresh, however some of the clams and the lobster was very dry, there was hardly any meat on the crab which is expected for the species that was provided. The other bits where ok.
Overall, food was OK, not worth what we paid for to be honest as I have had better seafood elsewhere. The service was OK, again had better service elsewhere in Bali.
But it was a unique experience eating directly on the beach with the sand between your toes overlooking the sea, so if your looking for a unique experience, or a romantic setting at sunset then this is...

I don't get why the beach has barriers for the restaurants around. But moving to this restaurant, it was the perfect view for sunsets. The name of this restaurant is Aroma Restaurant, and let me tell you—it truly lives up to its name.
From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was nothing short of magical. Our driver had taken us to the perfect time for dinner, right around sunset. While we were hoping for a clear, vibrant sunset, the clouds decided to play hide and seek, casting a soft, diffused light that added a romantic glow to the evening.
The View: Despite the cloudy sky, Aroma Restaurant offers an unparalleled vantage point of the coastline. The gentle sound of waves crashing and the cool sea breeze created a serene backdrop, making our dining experience incredibly relaxing.
The Food: Now, onto the main attraction—the food! I opted for the grilled fish, and it was absolutely divine. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, each bite was a burst of fresh, savory flavors that highlighted the quality of the ingredients. Pairing it with a chilled coconut water was the ideal choice; the natural sweetness complemented the meal beautifully.
The Vibe: Aroma Restaurant strikes the perfect balance between casual elegance and beachfront charm. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that our evening flowed smoothly. Whether you're planning a romantic dinner, a family outing, or a fun night with friends, this place caters to all.
Final Thoughts: While the sunset may not have been the fiery spectacle we hoped for, Aroma Restaurant provided a tranquil and picturesque setting that more than made up for it. With delectable dishes, stunning views, and impeccable service, it's a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal by the sea.
📍 Location: Aroma Restaurant, Bali. 💬 Tip: Make a reservation in advance to secure the best tables with the view!

Read morewent here today for a nice seafood lunch on the beach but we unfortunately did not receive that. we were sat inside at a table with no airflow and no fans on the hot day. i went up to order as the waiter told us we had to walk up to the front and order (weird but ok). we settled on the seafood set B. i bought the menu up cause i know there can be issues with communication. she nodded her head and said, only comes with 700g lobster, and proceeded to pick one up and weigh it at 1.3kg. i said this was ok and we would be happy to pay extra (i assumed they did not have any smaller fresh ones at the time.) with a bit of hassle she wrote down the rest of our order. no thank you or any manners and i went back to the table. we received rice and lobster and the fish and chips we ordered about 30 minutes later. we knew from previous experience they bring food out in courses so we patiently waited for the rest, which never came. our driver who speaks Balinese was with us and went up to ask where the rest of our food was so they bought the girl who took our food order off and she came up accusing me of never ordering anything. i kindly explained that i pointed to what we wanted and she agreed and even asked how many people we had. she then went on to yell at me and the rest of our table saying we never ordered this. this went on for about 5 minutes of her scolding our table and we had finally had enough and said we’d pay for whatever we ordered just to leave. this cost over 2.1m, which was more than the 1.75m set we wanted to order initially. whilst we were at the cashier, the girl was snickering and mocking us to her friends/other workers. no help from upper management or solution was provided to us. 0 starts if we could, so disappointed with the way they treat customers...
