Sunshine88 — Restaurant in Kuta

Was not too busy yet had to wait 2 hours for food after multiple times them telling us the 'food was in the process'. Meanwhile, tables arriving after us were being servered their dinner. As compensation, they offered a complimentary drink for 2 out of 5 of our party. The food was average, and only warm on arrival. The live selection of fish in the tanks included dead fish resting on the bottom of the tank (only noticed after ordering the meal). At the end of the meal, i had to advise the server that we never got the complimentray drinks or sweet chips as advertised in the food package, which were subsequently provided as takeaway as we were leaving by then. Later in the evening, and the following day, both my wife and I had upset stomachs. Great location, and the table musicians were good, as were the balaniese dancers. Couple of swings too for entertaining the kids while you wait, for ever. Fantastic view onto the sea from the beach which made the wait bareable, just. At c.£100, 2m IDR, i would not go back with so many alternative offerings...

My experience at Sunshine 88 was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with brilliant service. The food was incredibly fresh and very well-priced, making it a great value for the quality we received.

One of the highlights of our visit was the stunning view of the ocean while dining at tables set directly on the beach sand. There’s something truly special about feeling the sand between your toes while enjoying a fresh lobster. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing meal with a picturesque backdrop.

A special mention to the restaurant owner, Gusti, who went out of his way to ensure our stay at his restaurant was one to never forget. His warm hospitality and attention to detail truly made our dining experience exceptional.

I recently had the chance to enjoy the seafood at Sunshine 88 Bali, and it was a fantastic experience! The variety of fresh seafood on offer, especially the crab and fish dishes, really stood out. The crab was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned without overpowering the natural taste of the seafood. The fish was equally impressive, fresh and flaky, with a delightful balance of spices and herbs that made every bite memorable.

The presentation was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. The atmosphere of Sunshine Bali adds to the enjoyment — relaxed, cozy, and ideal for savoring seafood with friends or family.
