Oasis for homesick Indians, exorbitant price, pathetic service, arrogant staff
Reply to Restaurant: "Please don't call yourself Balinese. We have been to countless restaurants in Bali, tried Indonesian, Japanese, Thai. Made friends with them, shared memories, have learnt cooking Balinese cuisine. You are a profit minded cheap Chinese restaurant ripping off Indians. Do a favor to both Indians and Balinese people and serve Chinese with you pathetic attitude. Don't malign our reputation and culture.
Restaurant highlight: Sushimi Japanese Restaurant. Very nearby. Go, See and learn....................
Which payment are you asking for??? for your rude and arrogant attitude and keeping us starving and to eat at another restaurant. Moreover we are two different individuals with individual opinion. No need to mix it to create agenda in public forum."
This is one of the two restaurants serving Indian cuisine in Seminayak area. After staying over a week in Bali, wanted to try Indian cuisine for a change and visited this restaurant.
In summary:
Ambiance: Cramped. Tried fitting in so many tables in small space. No privacy Dim lighting like a cheap bar. Orchestra performance by Chinese singer in next table. Absolute nuisance for such a small place.
Price: Exorbitant and senseless.one Phulka 70-80 INR. chicken curry 375 INR. Carry water on your own.
Service and Staffs: Nobody came to our table for order. Had to get up and request them. Very arrogant stuffs as if they are doing favor to us by serving Indian food. No "please" in their language. Dead slow service. Don't order chicken there. Probably will get something else. Good trap for Homesick Indians. Don't go if you want to taste Indian flavor. Indian restaurants are not like this.
Detailed review: Ambiance: First thing noticed, Restaurant is heavily cramped (almost no table spacing) and 100% of the customers are Indian couples. so we don't bother much. Restaurant lighting is very dim like cheap bars but again it wasn't much of worry as we were starving. On top of that in the next table, they have set a song performance (with speakers and microphone) of Indian songs by a Chinese lady which was absolute cacophony. (no offence to Chinese origins). I felt like leaving then and there but was much more reliant on google reviews.
Price: Exorbitant and senseless. Monopoly at its extreme. One chapati 70-80 INR (14k-16k IDR). Chicken items starts from 375 INR (75k IDR). They are selling 1.5k IDR water bottles in 10k. Huge profit margin. Much more pricey than even Singapore rates.
Service: Nobody came to take our order which made me get up to them request for menu. Then long waiting time started.
Most unpleasant moments: As the song performance lady was literally crying in our ears, we switched table to an opposite corner. To my utter surprise, the same Chinese waiter came and scolded us for changing table and there was no request neither in her arrogant tone nor in language. After waiting for 25 mins, one dish in our order came which didn't look like chicken at all, so we brought them to their notice. Instead of resolving the issue, same Chinese waiter scolded saying we'll have to eat it as this is their serving portion. We were unable to explain to them that it was not a quantity issue but a chicken never look like the one served. Following that they asked us to leave the restaurant. By then our craving was gone and we went out and had food at nearby pleasant...
Read moreI went to this resturant yesterday with my friend and the cuury was bit dry and naan was hard as nail. We were not given any sides but given upon asking. At the end they ask us if food was good and being honest we told them the naan was bit tough and the waiter said how was the rest. We told him rest was okay. Then he request us to review us 5 stars. Apparently my friend did the review to which they replied and said dont do the fake review(seriuosly). To be honest if you ask us to review then be ready for the feedback even if its bad. Normally i dont do reviews because to me i dont go to the same place again if i dont like the food. I know they going to write that please dont do the fake review even before apologising. I will ask everyone to go this restaurant and try the food. And if they ask for 5 star review then it would be pretty obvious what i am saying. Thank you for your services. I hope you do better next time rather then asking for 5 star reviews and then critisizing the 1 star reviews. PS not a fake review. YOU asked for it. DONT FORGET TO REPLY. I THINK THAT WOULD BE BETTER...
