Garlic Lane Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Kuta

It was wednesday morning when i was just going through googlemaps looking for some breakfast spots nearby, then i spotted this restaurant. I made a reservation for dinner instead because of the show that they have starts at 8pm(every Wednesdays and Sundays). The service was excellent, they recommended us the food that we might enjoy and it was spot on. The prices shown in the menu are already including taxes and service charges, so there wont be any surprise to the bills(fyi: they only accept cash). Extra credit for the chefs because my bf asked for garlic sauce and they made him garlic butter sauce that tasted amazing. The pork ribs sauce however was a bit too sweet for my taste but the garlic butter made it all better.

The show was really entertaining, and they made some jokes that were funny to everyone. I didn't tell my bf about the show as i want it to be a nice surprise. It was his first time to ever watch a drag show(didn't even know what it means), and he was really surprised that he was actually enjoying it. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to have some memorable dinner experience or just to have some entertainment with some nice cold beers.

Harus banget coba kesini deh kalo lagi di kuta! Menunya banyak pilihan dari lokal, thai, western. Kalo ga mau makan berat, pilihan snack, dessert sama minuman2 manis halalnya juga ada. Walaupun tempatnya bisa ngerokok tapi ga engep/bau asep karna tempatnya terbuka jadi angin sepoy2 malem masuk. Performers nya beneran talented, dan selera humornya top banget anti receh/garing.

The owner (or at least what I assume is the owner. He’s the man with glasses) is very nice. He remembers all his guests and ensure that everyone who comes to his restaurant always receives the best services. He makes we want to come back, even just to say hello.

Unfortunately, the food is not so great. I ordered steak and while the meat is tender, it has too much pepper to a point that I lost count how many times I accidentally bit a full seed of pepper on the steak itself. I cannot even taste the meat. The cheese tastes a little bit outdated/expired. Then the vegetables taste like a frozen food.

I’d say focus on your food first. The service is already great and that is why I didn’t give one star. You have a potential just your kitchen staff...
