We visited Segara on Saturday evening 28th of November, 2015. We were given a large table that overlooked the ocean. The overall cleanliness, especially underneath the table was poor. We ordered 2 strawberry juices, that came and were not filled up to the top. We also ordered various dishes to give us a variety to eat from. They were: Calamari, chicken and beef sate, mie goreng and assorted vegetables in sauce. We unfortunately had to send the sate and mie goreng back as it was completely unsatisfactory. The sate tasted rancid and the mie goreng were like 2 minute noodles. The side serve of prawn crackers on both dishes were stale and old. We also requested mini corn cobs and were told they were small in servings. When they came out, they were massive and not something we had requested to begin with. We did not finish the rest of our calamari and vegetables either as we had been completely put of our food by the overall dining experience. We requested our bill and had only been charged for the food and drinks that we had consumed. We paid with cash but the real harassment began when we were leaving the premises. As we were heading back into the Discovery Plaza, we were stopped to be told that our money was faulty?? The one 100,000 note that we had presented had been mysteriously torn/cut in the few minutes it had taken us to leave the restaurant? All of a sudden the numbers on the note had gone and they refused us to leave.....or they would call the police and security! We only had just exchanged this money at a Money Ex office where the money had been counted out to us and everything was intact with all the notes given to us. I even showed the rude waiter that the torn note was not left in my wallet either! He refused to let us go, and even grabbed my girlfriend by the arm and sat her down while he told me to go back to a Money Exchange and get him a proper 100,000 note......or to pay with a card, which I flatly refused. It became very heated as I was absolutely horrified in the turn of events. I know for a fact that all money was intact when we gave it to them. Because we had returned 2 unsatisfactory food dishes, they tried to give us a hard time upon leaving. Their customer service skills lacked in many areas. They could have taken the note themselves to an Exchange office whilst we waited at the restaurant but instead they almost held my girlfriend as collateral and told me to leave and give the proper money upon my return. It was completely embarrasing to us and in the end I gave him 2 x 50,000 notes so we could leave. I visit Bali at least 2 to 3 times a year and never experienced anything like this before. I very much respect the Balinese customs and culture but I will never set foot in this restaurant again. This has been written to warn other travelers and to make them aware how something so dishonest on their part could have had the police and security involved.

Read more500k (+105k more for taxes) for two persons. But the portion is hell too small. Start with super small tom yum soup which is so fishy and smelly, i guess itâs not fresh. Then wait 15 mins for cheap crispy appetizers. Then wait another 15 mins for the main dish finally. Which turns out to be 1 small tilapia fish 4oz, 4 small not so fresh shrimps, and 4 SLICES of squid (unlike a big squid like in the menu). Small portion of veggies. And the super duper small brownies as the dessert. Take my 610k but youâll never...
