This was our only negative experience in a Bali restaurant. I checked out the reviews which were generally good. Welp. Should have paid more attention to the bad ones. Server was as usual here friendly, personable, willing but maybe not that knowledgeable . Ordering wine, even in an Italian restaurant, is always hit and miss and servers don’t know the product. However. As usual here he repeated our order to us. I don’t eat meat and ordered pasta with pesto. He repeated it back to me as pasta bolognaise and I said no, pesto, pointed to the item on the menu and he wrote it correctly, Repeating it back. Well guess what. Yup. Brought pasta bolognaise. He checked the order and the order that went to the kitchen was for pesto. He was apologetic and went to get pesto. Jimm had a Caesar salad which was made with iceberg lettuce and had no Caesar dressing it was a thousand island dressing and when questioned they said that was the correct dressing. No anchovy, no garlic - it was like a Denny’s side salad. They claimed it was Caesar because there was some preheated Parmesan on the side. My husband’s lasagna did not resemble their photo in the least. It was about half an inch high and seemed to be completely lacking bechamel sauce and had very little mozzarella which was only on the top. After he had finished his dinner they brought me a fettuccine pesto which was so undercooked as to be inedible. They took that meal off the bill but we still paid too much for the poor quality of the food. There are many high quality restaurants at every price point in Kuta. This is not one of them. Go to Al Dente or Dolce...
Read moreService was very bad. Wanted to get the attention of the waitress who was standing in front of me, looked her into the eye, no other staff was beside her, and she turned a blind eye and looked at the roof. Had to stand up to get the attention of another staff then she came to me (the staff bending down, couldn’t get her name) The home made pomodoro that we ordered was … definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Wanted to reply to the reply that I got from the management but couldn't so I decided to add on to my review here.
FYI this photo was taken after we made payment. The female staff that was bending over was the one that ignored me and looked at the roof after I waved at her even when we made eye contact. It was the first time I encountered such a bad attitude from a service staff. By the way, we ordered 2 pomodoros and not lasagna (as mentioned in my comment) as the staff told us that it contained beef, and we wasn't offered a complimentary drink so think you mistook us for another group of unhappy customers on the same...
Read moreA true gem in the heart of Kuta! We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and the experience was absolutely outstanding. The service is impeccable: the staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to accommodate any request with a smile.
The quality of the ingredients is evident in every dish. The poached eggs were a standout—cooked to perfection with a rich, creamy yolk and served with the freshest accompaniments. The pizza is another highlight: perfectly leavened dough, crispy and fragrant, topped with premium, fresh ingredients that deliver authentic flavors.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot to enjoy an evening with friends or family. Every detail reflects the passion and care poured into the restaurant.
This is a must-visit for anyone in Kuta—not just for a meal, but for a culinary experience that stays with you. We’ll...
