🌴 The Vibes – Relaxed island atmosphere with natural bamboo interiors and a cozy, welcoming feel. The staff are friendly and attentive, and you can even watch the chef skillfully prepare tacos right in front of you!

Taco Island Seminyak is easily one of the best food experiences I’ve had in Bali! From the moment the food arrived, I could already tell it was going to be special – everything is served beautifully in woven baskets with banana leaves and frangipani flowers, making the presentation super unique and very “Bali style.”

I tried the tacos, which had a perfectly crispy shell and were filled with juicy, flavorful meat topped with fresh salsa. The nachos were loaded with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and pico de gallo – every bite was crunchy and full of flavor. The highlight for me was their pizza-style dish, which combined Mexican flavors with a twist – cheesy, meaty, and absolutely delicious.

The drinks were also a treat! I loved the bottled fresh juices, especially the tropical flavors, and the mocktails were refreshing in the Bali heat. To end the meal, I had their dessert which was soft, rich, and paired perfectly with the whole experience.

A Mixed Bag – Great Flavors, Disappointing Portions

The food was undeniably delicious – quality ingredients, rich flavors, and the kind of attention to detail you’d expect from a place with such a strong social media presence. The store’s ambience was also a highlight, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

However, the pricing left much to be desired. We paid 115k for 3 beef tacos and 75k for vegan tacos – prices that suggested something substantial. Naturally, we expected generously-sized portions to match the cost. Unfortunately, what arrived were tacos that barely stretched 3 to 3.5 inches – far from the hearty, indulgent experience the pricing and hype implied.

While the ingredients and taste lived up to expectations, the portions felt underwhelming and disappointing. For the price point, we anticipated more than what was served.

Lesson learned – social media can be misleading. The food is great, but the value just doesn’t measure up. If you’re heading here, go for the flavors, but keep your expectations in check when it comes to portion sizes.
