Visited this place because we read that this is one of the legends in Makassar. They offer Java-styled menus. The place gives an old-style vibe. We tried pecel, nasi rawon, and es cendol/dawet for dine-in, tahu campur for take away. The pecel was very good! The peanut sauce was very tasty! The sauce had thick consistency with little chunks of peanut in it. Surprisingly the pecel menu included lontong as a substitute for rice (quite strange because we expect the more traditional "nasi pecel"). For the nasi rawon, it tasted okay. At first we felt a little bit confused with the menu, because they also served empal in the rice plate. Unfortunately, the es cendol/dawet was disappointing. The coconut milk was not as savory as it should be and also "broken" ("pecah"), too sweet (too much palm sugar syrup), and the rice flour jelly was too tender. Finally the tahu campur was very good! The peanut sauce was tasty, the sauce was different than the sauce on the pecel (I think it was more precisely called as "peanut paste" because the peanut was more fine-textured here).

Price: Rp 105,000 total.

Conclusion: the peanut-contained menus were our favourites hahahaha, and this restaurant was also helpful enough to fulfilling our yearning on...
