Alright, buckle up for a harsh reality check at Latar Ijen restaurant – where culinary dreams go to die. Let's dive into the menu, shall we? It's like they blindfolded themselves, spun around, and randomly pointed at dishes without any regard for taste or value. And if you make the mistake of ordering that extra plain rice you didn't really need? They'll happily charge you for it, even if it hasn't even made its way to your table yet. Now, let's talk about the waiting game. You know that feeling when you're waiting for your food and it feels like time is mocking you? Yeah, that's the vibe at Latar Ijen. And as for the staff? Good luck getting their attention. Our waiter was too busy gossiping with his buddy to remember he had tables to serve. Plus, the music was so loud, it felt like we were dining in a nightclub. But wait, there's more! The food itself? Your taste buds...

My kid also ordered red velvet cake, again it was just "okay". I mean he compared it with 2 famous cakes shops (maybe it was nothing compared to those 2 shops). And yet, even my 11 years old kid able to taste the quality of the food.
Then I ordered oxtail soup. I asked for extra hot, and yet i did not get what i asked for. And there were ants ... well 2-3 tails, i did tell the waitress, but really, for a so called 4 star restaurant, the kitchen stafss should've able to pay attention on such small things like this.
The oriental fried rice was tasty, but too many side dishes and garnishes in one plate. Perhaps the restaurant need to consider to put it on a bigger plate?
The waitresses were okay. The price.. it's just average for me, but it was costly if you compare it with the taste of foods and it's quality.
But hey.. if you just happened wanna go there, just need to "pay" for the ambience and not really care about the food, you got...
