Where do I start? My family and I went there this past Saturday for dinner as our last resort since all other restaurants were full. First, the owner or manager told me that his credit card machine might work or not because of internet connectivity. Then we ordered our food and drinks. The first issue started when they brought and extra beer that neither my wife or I ordered. Then came the food. They got my wife plate wrong. The lady brought the food and say that’s what she ordered. Upon checking the menu she realized that was not the case and proceeded to take the food back to change it. Then came my food. I ordered a pizza with mixed seafood. They brought a pizza with only mushrooms and tomatoes. The owner or manager brought me a free onion rings while I waited for my food. My food came and I was starving. I ate all the pizza but did feel something funny on some of the seafood. I should have stopped eating and gave it back, my mistake. I was too hungry so I ate it all. Then came the time to pay. The owner would not even try to run my credit card through his machine but instead offered me a ride to the ATM. I thought all was over until I woke up Sunday morning with diarrhea. Things got worse throughout the day on Sunday evening. I started throwing up and continued with diarrhea. It was the same way throughout the night until Monday around 5am when I threw up last. All I could taste while throwing up was that nasty flavor from the seafood in the pizza. I would give them 0 starts if I could. And it’s funny because I event ate fried chicken from the street a few days before that and didn’t get sick at all. Very disappointed and disgusted! Do not go to...
Read moreThis was the best coincidence we had in our trip, after bumping into Iwan when we wanted to use an ATM and he gave us advices, we instantly loved his vibe, he invited us to the restaurant but since we were in a hurry we promised to come back later, and when we did, we were amazed by how all the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, with such a vibrant heartwarming smile that makes you feel home, Iwan also kept us company and this guy’s vibe is literally unmatched, iconic laugh, and great positive energy, everyone at the restaurant kept asking us if we needed anything or if we were comfortable, we loved the extra care and Oh boy!! Not to mention the food, they recommended me a Halal local Pepe Balinese meal and it was to DIE Fooooor if I’m not exaggerating (I’m not) my friend asked for fish and I really never tasted better than that, thanks to Ewan and the team of Penida Minang, we fell in love with the island, with the local food, with the people and it made our last night on Nusa Penida such a wonderful time, I will be forever grateful for their special care and I hope to come back very soon to visit my new family in Nusa Penida Terima...
Read moreIt was a big disappointment. We ordered a grilled fish special, which we had there a day before and was delicious. I asked what fish it was, just to be sure it is a tuna like the day before, and the waiter said it was a tuna. However, what we got was some fried cod fish from freezer. Moreover it was too salty and greasy, not good at all. We told the waiter we ordered something else, but he and other personnel apologized that they dont have a tuna, but insisted it was grilled, but it obviously was not true. Also the size of the portion was half compated to the portion from previous day, and the serving of the potatos was a bad joke. We wanted a discount, because it is too much to pay 60k for purely prepared small portion of cod fish and 5 or 6 small pieces of potatoes, but they got us another portion of the fish instead, still not very tasty. We also get an eytra french fries for free, but we would prefere a doscount, because be wanted a healthy dinner, not fried fish and fries which nobody ordered and wanted. As I said, whole dinner was a bad joke and I would never go there again. I have never been so disappointed before in...
