The Vault is not my scene. I love EDM and had hoped to really let loose with my moves. Sadly the music was not to my expectations so I moved on and blew the expensive cover charge.
Really large venue. Long slow queue to enter but it did move along nicely. Rigorous security on entry, not so visible once inside.
Bar service was never a problem. Most seemed content to sit on that one drink they’d had to buy anyway for entry.
Nobody dancing at this venue - they were just chilling to the spectacle.
If I was single and wanting to mingle I’d definitely not come here. Men looking for an Indonesian lady would be better off at a classy nightclub with no entry fee for women or at the very least a much cheaper door fee, or plump for a low end nightclub like Paddy’s.
You’ll need to dress up a little for this venue. Don’t go high class. Ladies, they didn’t seem to be bothered with lovely shoes and accessories, nor with dresses which allowed their girls ;) to have a night out too. Men, mostly wore a decent tee although a few had shirts with buttons.
Now the music… I am no expert on EDM so I’ve uploaded a couple of clips which fairly represent what is on offer. I suspect that techno and hip-hop fusion is probably...

I went in on a Sunday night with a group of Indonesian friends. The venue was empty so the ratio of their staff and guests was about 1:1. When ordering drinks no one has asked us for a payment, so you'd assume they opened a tab and you'll pay at the end... up until about 5 mins later their cashier was running around the (dark) venue with several receipts asking us to pay one by one... super odd. I have my opinion as to why but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
When the drinks came.. Mojito was too sour, almost undrinkable, another drink I had was too sweet. Now this is subjective so everyone make your own opinion but I would NEVER return for their drinks.
Lastly, when I visited their bathroom, which is the same bathroom their staff uses, I had a chance to see one of the barman finish his business and then walk right behind the bar without ever washing his hands. Disgusting to say the least. And I'm sure caught on CCTV for the management's reference.
Oh and while paying, the staff return the wrong amount of change, in the venue's favor of course. As it was only IDR 5K we let it slip but be aware when going...

I’ve partied in a lot of places, but Vault Nightclub Bali seriously blew me away. The vibe is so different from the typical beach club scene; it’s underground (literally and energy-wise) and feels like a real music lover’s club.
The lighting and visuals were insane! Super moody and immersive, without being over the top. It’s dark, sexy, and intimate, but still has that electric energy that makes you want to stay all night. The sound system is crazy good, you can actually hear every detail in the music, and the bass hits just right.
Me and my girls came for Cheddar on Wednesday, their Afro night, and it was everything. Every DJ that night brought something different. I heard a mix of afrobeats, amapiano, and crowd was just insane. You could tell the crowd was really there for the music, not just for selfies. It had this cool underground club feel that reminded me of some of my favorite spots in Europe.
Overall, this was easily one of the best nightlife experiences I’ve had in Bali. If you’re into good music, good people, and a more curated, high-quality vibe, you have to...
